Staff was friendly and the area was great. Easy and enjoyable stay

The location and surrounding area was absolutely perfect. The coffee shops, vintage clothes shops and great restaurants made our weeks stay wonderful !! We especially loved the evening farmers/vendors market and would definitely go again !!

Un sillón todo roto ( mejor no pongan nada , da asco ) la rejilla del aire del techo estaba goteando y para terminar encontré en la habitación un empaque de preservativo 😱,,eso quiere decir que la limpieza está terriblemente mala ! en la mañana siguiente Salí de mi habitación y al regresar no habían hecho la limpieza , les pedí que la hicieran y me dijeron que ya no estaba el personal de limpieza , perdón pero ese no es mi problema , pedí toallas limpias por lo menos y nunca me las llevaron ,de los peores hoteles que me he quedado !

The rooms were dirty, no ice bucket, and the ice machine didn’t work. We used to stay at this hotel all of the time, but it has really gone downhill. I don’t think we will stay here again.

Nother story. The coffee maker in our room had old coffee in it and dirty. We go down to catch our Shuttle and informed that the Shuttle isn’t working with no prior notice and now we have minutes to make our arrangement. They could’ve had the courtesy to call us?

The hotel was fairly clean, the staff was very friendly! The exhaust fan in our room didn’t work which made the bathroom very steamy! The vent in the entry way by the closet dripped water, I’m assuming from the A/C. It was very hot and humid when we were there in June. Overall, I thought it was a safe place to stay for a decent price.

Room ac froze I was told they would give me a discount manager never called me back…went down to the desk to see if he she was there was in a room so gave up on that

There is very little about this hotel that would justify the price. Beyond being severely outdated, the property appears poorly maintained. The electrical outlets beside the bed are so loose that our phones won’t stay plugged in to charge. The air conditioner leaks onto the floor and even drips on guests as they walk by. The gym is extremely underwhelming, and the pool area was littered with trash during our stay. To make matters worse, none of the balcony doors open, so don’t expect to actually enjoy the ocean view you paid for. At $565 for two nights, this experience was completely unacceptable. What’s especially frustrating is that management responds to many of these reviews with the usual corporate apologies and promises to improve, yet the same complaints continue to appear over and over. It doesn’t seem that anything has actually changed. But wait, it gets worse. Only 3 customer elevators and one is broken. They allow dogs so sometimes there’s pee in the elevator. And we’ve watched the doors close on people twice very hard on people. Book elsewhere.

Room was HOT despite having the AC on 60. Carpet wet from air conditioning leak. Bathroom dirty, tub all stained.

Great location but the hotel has seen better days. We called to make reservation and were not told that the balcony doors are locked permanently so you cannot use the balcony which was one of the reasons we got this hotel. Lots of shoddy repairs and poor maintenance. Our room had a leak from the ac unit and water pooled below it at the bathroom entrance…it was fixed a few days after our daily complains

That the roof did not cave in during our stay. They put us across the hall from our friends upon request. Booked a room online, selected pay at the hotel option. They required me to put in card information to keep on file. Even with pay upon check in selected they took $246.16 out on the card. We get there and they tell me that I now have to pay $338.56 for the same room. I showed the lady where the room fee was already taken out of my bank, and she said that was Holiday Inn making sure I had the funds for the room and it would be refunded in 2 or 3 days. Now I have to pay for the room again PLUS a $100 deposit AND $18 a night for parking. So now I am out essentially $584.72 for this trip. The room is nothing special, the shower has no water pressure, vent fan is broke, there were skid marks in the toilet and you can't even use the balconies. I highly recommend finding a different place to stay, unless you like being part of a Holiday Inn money laundering scheme. There were homeless people in the lobby trying to get things from everyone coming in. We also found blood on one of our bed sheets, and someone's clothing left in the bathroom. The pool was also not filled up to the right level, and after multiple people told the front desk that there were no pool towels available they never brought any. We went back to swim the next morning and still no towels stocked and pool still not filled up right. The only issue you might have that is outside of the hotels control is that at night the strip turns into a dragstrip for a majority of the night.

Pool has seen better days and barely functions. Sauna is not useable. Rooms showing age for sure. Furniture beat up etc. BUT location and view are as good as it gets in corpus. Stayed here a few times and their pricing is always all over the place. Do not pay more than like 179 to stay here or you will be disappointed.

Disappointing

Staff was great, but facilities could definitely use an upgrade!

We were highly disappointed in our stay. Our room was AWFUL and we paid extra for a High Floor. I guess the 5th floor is what they consider “high” out of 21 floors. There was mold in the ceiling in the bathroom and all the furniture, paint, and tile were busted up. Our AC was leaking all night and the hallway was wet in the morning. We asked twice to be moved. They finally moved us to a higher room that was a lot better. I was looking forward to spending time in the pool but they drained it and we couldn’t use it. The bar was so full of Kinder Morgan employees that we could barely get a drink. Also the bartenders were drinking along with them which is not what I expected. I feel like we waisted so much money. We should’ve stayed at the Omni.

I had been staying at this hotel for many years, However many services have changed, not friendly front desk staff, I had to inquire about parking procedures and breakfast, the room was okay but noisy from the hallway and outside noise couldn’t sleep, the breakfast buffet had gone down, no omelette station and no fresh fruit, plates, cup and utensils were disposable. Parking had improved considerably, no hanging tags anymore and easy access to get in and out. Not sure if I would stay here again.

The hotel needs to make repairs and update the rooms, decor, and amenities.
