Huge hotel in beautiful setting, delightful walks round the property and lots of facilities for families. Couple of housekeeping issues that need tightening up, layer of dust on lower edges of chairs in bedroom and front surfaces of drawer units needing good clean. Restaurant and reception staff delightful.

We loved the little hidden bar jack (I think that was his name?) was brilliant I don't drink so he made a lovely mocktail which wasn't on the menu we felt very well looked after. The breakfast was also great lots of choice there is plenty to do in and around the hotel despite it being very far out our room was also lovely it had a nice view and coming back from breakfast to a spotless room with a made bed was also very nice East was a little disappointing I didn't feel it was worth the money (£100 including drinks) as 2 of our dishes on the sharing platter were replaced both with variations of broccoli I think we were told this but I don't think it registered with me initially these things happen and it's out with the staffs control they were lovely! I did have to ask for water a few times though I think that's something that could be worked on. We did feel the overall affordability of the hotel once you get there wasn't great particularly the activities

Staff are very good. Special thanks to duty manager Dawod who was very helpful and accommodating. The estate was very spacious nice it contains very beautiful Victorian gardens and many other facilities. Prices for additional facilities like horse riding are very high; fortunately there were many other free or reasonably priced activities.

Beautiful forest walks right next to the hotel. Friendly staff and great kids activities. They also set up games outside as the weather was good. Good gym. Breakfast staff were very helpful in making sure those with gluten allergy/coeliac were well (and safely) served.

Passable

Location was great. Hard lumps of sugar don’t dissolve on Weetabix with milk. There were no tongs or spoons in the sugar, and a request for a packet of sugar took so long to arrive, the cereal was eaten. This just needs a small attention to detail. The room was quite small and had no good outlook. Room 155.
