Dalat Family Hostel

This place was great. Lots of facilities and communal areas, friendly staff, nice rooms, and a great price. I would stay again. Everything was good. No improvements needed.

I was surprised how good this hostel was, especially the staff were really nice. I loved chatting with Yen and Summer:)) Nice community with good food and all kinds of activities, would definitely recommend going there.

Good for the price, staff was nice and came to clean the bathroom an extra time when requested. We’ve also seen them help people carry their bags, very nice! It was tet and they overbooked so we ended up being 12 in a 10 people dorm with only one bathroom. They also put 25 people in the same room on the roof, but the staff was overwhelmed and they dealt with the situation how they could. The bed were squeeky and mine had a window without a curtain letting everyone in the gym see me 24/7

Bed sheets are comfy Water pressure was good Staff tried to be helpful but you can only try managing chaos so much Do NOT stay here. This place has nothing to do with family and is just your average Bangkok banana trail party hostel. We (couple ~35) booked the deluxe private room because on the photos it was looking like a hotel room. On arrival we receive information that due to overbooking the room was not available and we got two options: a tent on the rooftop or a room in the basement with no sunlight (but at least a window). We stayed for two nights in the basement only because day one was already 9pm and we were completely exhausted and day two because at least it was known already how the place is and we were able to leave our stuff in a lockable room. There are live wires in the shower that show poor isolation due to the humidity and I hope it will not fry the next guests. Night one: next to our room was a 8-12 bed dorm, door was always open. Even in Bulgarian Hostels the dorm doors are at least closed. Drunk girl tried to enter our room while we were sleeping already, and broke our door handle. Half an hour later two guys from the same room tried to fix the door.. at 1:30am. At least the room was more lockable now. Cigarette bums and trash everywhere outside. Loud music until late hours, overpriced watered down drinks and the place is organizing bus trips between cities in Vietnam meaning due to them, people that book through regular ways 12go will be pushed out as well. The pool in the pictures is looking nice but with all those disgusting people, even they avoided the pool themselves. Banana trail has arrived in Vietnam and the people that stay in this people are considering traveling as this: Go to the hostel Get wasted Get more wasted Do some organized tour thing Move to the next hostel in the next city The place and the culture is adopted to this. If you want a proper sleep and are in Vietnam to actually get a dive into culture and not want to be surrounded by societies entitled failures in life, stay away from this place.

Great hostel to meet other travelers!

Da Lat Family hostel is a pretty good hostel overall. Very convenient for anything you need- booking tours, motorbike, buses, etc. Food and drinks are nicely priced and are decent. The pub crawl happens every night which is great to meet people. There’s lots of common areas to hang out, however the rooftop and pool could definitely use some updating- could be really nice spaces for chilling but seemed like people didn’t want to because it felt a bit rundown and not maintained. We really enjoyed the pool table. Staff are very kind and helpful. We stayed in a double room which was okay. The bathroom didn’t have a door and there was no window which was unfortunate. I don’t believe all the private rooms are like this though. Wifi doesn’t work great all the time so not ideal for digital nomads.

The foods are delicious. The accomodations are great too. Nice people are around there. The staff from the reception are very helpful.

Advice on tours and bus. My 3 waterfalls tour on bike was excellent. Hostel is an entertaining maze of unique areas including weight room and pool. Great social dinners.

The location is not very close to the city. You need to rent a scooter or take uber to move around.

Good location. Service 24/7, staff are friendly. It’s a sociable hostel which coincides with noise, our room was just above the lobby area which meant all we heard was music throughout the day. A little bit unorganised, they managed to misplace our laundry also it came back wet and with more stains on than before we sent it for cleaning
