Apo View Hotel

I loved the location, since this was a hotel that I knew since I was a kid, when the city was still starting. Easy access to the main streets, walking around was safe, and the streets weren't full of jeepneys like the main road. I had a great experience with the check in, the staff was very helpful and they accommodated our request for a pool side view. The lobby/reception area was always super busy, and I felt like I was in a crowded mall instead of a hotel. Storage area for baggage and parcels were not fully secured, and my husband, who was waiting for his ride, couldn't even sit in any of the chairs allocated for hotel guests because of other people doing business of some sort. I checked into this hotel for the pool, (used to swim daily years ago) and was disappointed that they haven't upgraded their shower and facilities. Their breakfast menu was not as varied as I expected for the price we paid for the room. Comparing it to Hotel Mandaya, whose breakfast buffet had double the number of dishes, and looked fresher.

The location is in the center of the city. Very accesible. The breakfast buffet.. very so-so … Davao City is well-known for the variety of fruits and yet they only serve watermelon . ???. The foods are very limited to few. No personnel was assigned in the entrance of the buffet restaurant.

The public areas of the hotel are pleasant, clean and fairly modern looking. The hotel is in a good location with restaurants, pharmacies and ATMs all within reasonable walking distance. The listing on Booking.com advised airport shuttle available. There was no response to my question on this from either e-mail or text communications. Room was dark , dingy and smelled damp and musty. Bed was firm but comfortable. Mini fridge in the room but empty. The AC unit was very cold but old and very noisy. Internet was abysmal ! Continually dropped every few minutes making it difficult to work ! Buffet dinner in the restaurant was not great. Relatively small selection available and the food was not that great. Buffet breakfast was pretty much the same . Not much of a choice and the scrambled eggs were cold !

* Breakfast inclusion is always good when you check in. * The bed is very big, with two single beds combined for the Deluxe Room. * The staff are nice and friendly. * Finding the elevator is like a maze. ? * The lights are too dim, or maybe the room is not that spacious. * The aircon is spitting ice (needs cleaning). Sometimes it makes noise also. * Can't charge my phone properly. The outlets are too loose, and my charger always falls off.

. AC working with very noisy, so slept not well. The water is not draining from the washbasin.

Worst staff, very old facilities smells bad

The buffet had a lot of variety and was good. The hotel is quite rundown. Our room was at the end of a hall that seemed to be having repairs. The rooms are outdated. The power plugs were not all working. The shower was not very hot.

Breakfast is really good and the location is excellent. The toilet flush and bath tub drains very slow. And the neighbors were so loud on our 2nd night. The young adults keeps banging their doors and talking and we’re so loud . I had to call security.

Location Bathrooms need updating, bed not comfortable

Great buffet and ambiance. We never felt rushed. Close to a local mall, and People’s Park was a welcome place to visit. Too bad the museum at People’s Park was closed

Good location , accessible to the heart of Davao.

its always the parking space for our vehicle and wifi connection keep cutting off

Location and cleanlines. Breakfast buffet. Food is not great and service crew were selective or judgmental on who they gave their 100% service attention. If you are a foreigner you get great service but if you look like an ordinary filipino ,service is poor. Cant even offer you coffee. All food were empty at 8am. Ill stay here without breakfast.

The air conditioning was noisy; the shower was a little complicated. Bed was hard.
