Balconies Lakeside

We loved the location and the size of the room and the view was excellent. We believe there was a flood on Friday night and so outside our door the carpet was very wet and smelly, in our room a big patch near the walk in robe was also sodden. The sofa and ottoman were dirty, covered in dust and food deposits. One of the chairs at the small table inside was broken and could not be sat on. The tap in the kichenette is extremely loose. The TV is old and doesn't allow smart phone mirroring which reduced options to watch anything other than you tube sbs and ivew. Netflix had been locked with a pincode by a previous user rendering it inaccessible. We could not add any other apps to the TV.

Location was wonderful. Room was clean, with all amenities you need. Huge comfy bed with plenty of pillows. Communication with the host was very good, and timely. Beautiful view of lake and hills from the balcony. Understanding the access instructions for door code was a little confusing at first. Signage regarding where you could park to unload your car was not present, so we were unsure as to where we were meant to park and unsure if we were in the neighbours drive way.

The location was great to walk around the lake, the place itself needs lots of TLC. When we entered the room there was a distinct stale musty smell - found an old dusty diffuser tucked in the corner - we put this outside and opened the rang slider to the deck when we returned to the room after a wander round the lake it was better. The room is only superficially clean - went to see if the angle of the TV could be moved - the back of it was coated in a thick layer of dust, as was the headboard, the picture frames and under the couch seats there were multiple crumbs etc. The drawer where the minimal cutlery etc was stored had a dirty non slip mat that your plates etc sat on and the cups were both chipped and cracked. The kitchen is so tiny with no bench space that it is impossible to organise any food here. IMO the crockery / cutlery and microwave should be moved into the wardrobe space and a free standing clothes rack added to the other end of the room. The bathroom gets really wet as there is no shower curtain - nor is there any space on the vanity to put your toiletries - yet there is plenty of room to add something for this purpose. The safe didn't work - probably just needs new batteries - and around half of the lightbulbs in the entry hall were blown. The outside table had dried bird droppings on it and there were cobwebs aplenty on the balcony along with two planters that had one dying plant and a weed or two in them. The information folder needs updating - lots of info about Covid which is no longer appropriate. None of the issues are hard to fix - just a bit of time and effort would greatly improve this place.

Being allowed an earlier check-in, although last minute was a bonus as we were in town for a wedding, and were being picked up at 2pm. We checked in at 1.40pm, just prior to so we could leave our bags inside the room. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. The toilet paper holder was empty and no spares to be found anywhere. Luckily there was a box of tissues that was a good substitute! Probably cleaned in a hurry to allow us the early check in!

Very spacious and comfortable.view is lovely, quiet and calm area. Deck furniture is well worn . Cleaner should remember to dust the plastic orchid by deck door and the cobwebs on chairs.

Easy enough to find and pretty close to the city centre. 1. A 3pm check in with a 10 am check out doesn’t allow much time in the room where other places have an earlier check in and/ or a later check out. 2.No onsite car parking 3. Rooms 1 and 2 have excellent lake views whereas Room 3, which we were in, had limited lake views and room 2 could also easily look into our room via their veranda. 4. Couches look dated 5. Part of the doona had marks on it - although it was covered by a clean bedsheet

The position of the house is tranquil, and the look out over the lake was beautiful

Location was excellent, views amazing and enjoyed sitting out with glass of wine and cheese. Comfortable bed and provided additional extras with coffee pods was appreciated. It would be helpful if the documentation prior to arriving included details about parking.

Spacious bottom floor apartment with plenty of room for two people. Very clean and comfortable bed. Nice view of the lake and garden. Also loved the chargers available as I forgot my phone charger so that was very handy.

Very strong Bleach smell as soon as we get in the room and that stayed there for 3 hrs straight as the bathroom floor was absolutely wet with bleach mop. Headaches started it was that much strong. Had to leave with in 4 hours. Money is not the problem but time was ruined.

Superb location with Lake views. Tasteful decor. Good sized studio with ultra comfortable bed. Heated bathroom and towel rack was good. We loved it. The property was generally clean with clean kitchen, bathroom and bedding, but outside the basics the studio needed a good dusting. The deck needed hosing and the balcony glass doors badly needed cleaning. Also, the tracks that the doors slide on were filthy. The red chair had dust on the corners of the arms, the skirting boards were covered in dust and the feet of the table inside was covered in dust. We notice that this problem has been highlighted before with the owner making a comment that he would talk to the cleaner. It you are going to charge top dollar, it's past the talking stage. We are genuinely providing constructive criticism, as if it was our studio.
