Courtyard by Marriott Dayton North

The price of the hotel was reasonable compared to others in the area. It was in walking distance to restaurants and easy to access right off the highway. Being a Marriott, I expected a little more such as free coffee. There is coffee for purchase. The outside seating area wasn't maintained. The seat cushions were blown all over, plus it is want swept. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

It was nice but I keep getting calls on the hotel phone that was just breathing and music all night

The Marriott brand has gone downhill. The bathroom had mold in it and after one flush of the toilet, the water in the toilet didn’t fill back up. The knob to turn on the sink was missing and the entire room had a musty smell. They did give us another room. I was surprised by the front desk attendant. She was so nonchalant about the issues. She shrugged like this happens all the time.

Hotel rooms need to be upgraded. Pull out couch is the size of a twin bed. Food at cafe is nasty. Location is great. Close to restaurants and highway.

The stay was great room was clean staff was very helpful They was switching systems so the last few hours of my stay was kind of inconvenient because the keys wouldn't work and I had to ask staff to unlock my door

New computer system was a little challenging as we checked in but otherwise very good! This is a great property for a travel stop - plenty of good restaurants within walking distance! Highly recommend!!

A couple of things that irritated me besides a stolen vehicle were there are no surveillance camera's on property and absolutely zero communication from the management of the property. Hotel seemed to be in a nice area with lots of restaurants, hotels, and close to the highway but I would suggest parking in front of the hotel.

We returned at 7:30pm to learn the hotel had "overbooked" double rooms and only kings with a single pull-out were available. Staff member Sierra was kind and clearly puzzled why Roshonda hadn't reserved our rooms after we'd waited half the day. We received a discount plus breakfast and bar vouchers as compensation. A few groups left because they couldn't fit 4 people in the king room. The room itself was a further disappointment — no temperature control, the pull-out had no sheets, and the hotel had no extra pillows for the pull out. At the bar, the staff member was absent nearly the entire night. I waited an extended period before giving up; we were told she was "in the bathroom," though she was gone far more than she was present. The next morning, our complimentary breakfast vouchers were essentially worthless — minimal food available, none of it matching what the voucher advertised. Terry was kind and apologetic, but overall this stay was a frustrating, uncomfortable experience from check-in to checkout.
