Courtyard by Marriott Dayton-University of Dayton

Not up to this group's usual standard. An old and loud AC unit was the most negative part of the stay. Staff were not rude but certainly not welcoming. We had to ask about breakfast times and other amenities - the answers were perfunctory. I was not welcomed as a Bonvoy member. Breakfast service was spotty - I ordered a breakfast burrito and received a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich. As the only customer at the time, this was not someone else's order. None of these things by themselves matter much (except the AC), but in combination made the stay unpleasant. We won't go back and we wouldn't recommend it to others.

The stay was nice only the room smelled as if there was mold or the carpet needed cleaning

Excellent staff friendly service no problems. Whatsoever room was very clean. Very good temperature linens great slept great confused about breakfast situation but that’s not always clear as we booked the room at like 11 o’clock tonight would totally recommend especially due to the staff at night. I didn’t get her name, but she was very personable and had just been through a flurry of chaos with a bunch of people that came in and she was fantastic.

This was a quick stay. Staff were friendly upon arrival. Plenty of clean towels available. Location is right off the highway and had plenty of off-street parking.

I hope hotels realize that people also stay at their hotels for their amenities and not just the stay. If I could have stayed somewhere else I would.

We really enjoy staying at this hotel when we are in Dayton for the clean, updated rooms, nice amenities and friendly staff.

The location is nice if your staying in Dayton or going to Kings Island. Our only complaint is if the pillows and sheets could of been softer.

The hotel was right across the street from our event. Very convenient. The staff was very helpful even though we had an issue with the reservation the morning desk clear clerk helped me to understand what happened. From here on I will note use a third party when booking my reservation.

I chose this hotel because of the dependable reputation of Marriott and of the Courtyard brand, and I was not disappointed. The room looked brand new, everything in it worked, the bed was comfortable and the shower had excellent water pressure. I could not ask for more.

The entire building was clean. The room bed was very comfortable. Staff excellent service. I will definitely stay here again.
