Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Dayton-Centerville by IHG

First of all, they had the same breakfast each morning. We were there for three mornings, and not a thing changed--not even the over-ripe, dark bananas. The sink in our room (221) was plugged up all the time. It took forever for it to clear. The toilet in our room always took two flushes for everything to go down. The toilet paper always was left behind and had to be fushed down a second time. We told the desk about the sink and toilet, and they said they sent someone in to fix it, but it wasn't fixed. The problem remained. The fitted sheet at the head of the bed was never "tucked in." The good news: There was a woman who worked in the breakfast room to clean things up, and she never stopped working. She cleaned everything in sight and was very pleasant. I told the front desk how efficient she was. You're lucky to have her!

Staff very accommodating

Room was so clean and smelled clean! So pleased my stay. Breakfast was fresh and normal offerings. Very secure location and area to walk my dog.

Noise level was awful. Got no sleep. Shower head and bathroom fan were broken.

The property is clean and well maintained. The staff was very nice and welcoming. There was a nice breakfast in the morning as well.

Superb

Room smelt musty upon arrival but running air conditioner for a few hours helped (or we got used to it). No bathroom exhaust was annoying as mirror fogs quickly. Shower curtain did not keep in all the water as evidenced by wet floors and detaching floor moldings.

The staff was excellent.

Breakfast was also subpar.. things were not turned on in time to be ready for breakfast,. options were minimal at best, I've always stayed at Holiday Inns, and this unfortunately was the worst one I have stayed in. On a better note, the staff was AMAZING!!!

We were there for one night to visit family in the area and found the accomodations comfortable, and grateful to be there. I am a foodie, so the breakfast bar was under par for my taste, and avoid gluten, and dairy so obviously I was challanged to work with the selection. Very happy overall considering the price point and might use them again when in the area.

Good. Quiet. Friendly, clean

Breakfast was outstanding - lots of variety which was appreciated since we stayed several days. Staff was very friendly. Hotel was very quiet and clean. Beds weren't very comfortable, had trouble with the room temperature and the thermostat, and there were loose floor tiles in the bathroom that needed attention. Overall a good stay.

Very clean pleasant room. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff!

Room was clean. Pillows were terrible. There was paint peeling on the bathroom ceiling.

Location

Pool was closed on the only night that we could use it, so that was disappointing. The free breakfast was good.

Our room was terribly humid and the carpet was tacky. Papers warped and it smelled musty. The floor tile in the bathroom was loose. The soap dispenser glued to the wall came off.
