The front desk cashier. (Bruce)? There was a Bible in the drawer. I found a dead cricket in the bathroom. The bar of soap broke in to tiny pieces when I dropped it in the shower. No kleenex. I had to go to the front desk & ask for kleenex & another bar of the dinky soap. The surrounding property was filthy.

Nothing Staff was rude, place was not clean, thick dust and spiderwebs on ice machine, pool, gym and laundry non functional

Perfectly fine for a quick overnight stay. Only issue was people talking outside my door extremely loudly in Spanish at 1 am. It seemed like staff because they weren’t going in and out of a room and I was at the end of the hall where there was a utility room that I think they were using. It went on for like 20 minutes and I was about to call the front desk when it finally stopped.

The entire place was empty (bad sign) like maybe 5 or 6 gueats staying there besides me. I only saw 2 people who worked there and barely speak any English. The room stunk terribly and was hot like the A/C was rattling and just barely blowing cold. I checked out at 11:04 am and the staff charged a $10 late check out fee. This place is a total hole, do NOT bring your family here. Absolutely TERRIBLE!!

Texas Inn had higher ratings than similar priced hotels which accounted for my decisions. I should have been warned by the fact the dominate image in the advert was not of the hotel but of the courthouse? which was not immediately near by. Sheets were threadbare and had holes, both from wear and from smoking. It didn't feel good using bedding or towels. (I thankfully travel with both sheets and pillows so stripped the bed and used mine.) The walls were visibly dirty. The ick factor is high for the Texas Inn.
