The Slate is cool - a restored high school downtown. They stay was great - but the breakfast potatoes and the toast at breakfast tasted like they'd been sitting out way too long before getting served.

I stayed in a two bed Queen room and it was bright and clean and really good value. And loved it Then I moved to a king living room and man it was so dark and so depressing I ended up not staying at all So if you're into staying in the basement of an old school then the king living room is for you

This was a great hotel and in a great location. Easy to walk the city from here. I look forward to staying here again. They did an excellent job in turning this old school the hotel slate!

The staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable. The hotel is located in a central location in the city and plenty of parking. Don’t be fooled by the valet price. You can self park in many different places. The room was clean and tidy. We will definitely return!
