Hyatt Place Dewey Beach

Location of hotel really good with easy access to beach and bay areas. The room was not the cleanest. Even after request to staff for specific cleaning of dirty bathroom door- nothing happened. We tracked staff for replacement towels, trash was never collected/cleaned. Agreement was - room cleaning every 3 days, but towel/trash is daily.

I wouldnt stay again.

The pool was like 3ft and tiny.

Dogs barking all night, people yelling, tried to connect with someone no reply! Won’t stay again.

Breakfast was included. Very nice breakfast buffet! Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Had an exceptional stay. Rooms very clean and roomy. Air conditioner worked very well. Private parking for vehicles. Would definitely book another stay at the Hyatt Place.

The first time staying here and we loved

We had to have our room changed as our neighbors were so loud with a barking dog. Had to check out one room at 11 and wait til 4 to check in to the second room.

The location was good. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. A lot of it was pretty empty. The food was ok. Coffee was good.

Usually stay in the condos, but grandkids like the breakfast. The housekeeping in this hotel is second to none, rooms were so clean and staff so friendly. Breakfast was a bit crowded but they did a great job. First night noise in hallways, people yelling and slamming doors.

The hotel was very nice. The location was great. The room wasn't cleaned during stay. I had to call to the front desk two days in a row asking for towels because housekeeping didn't clean the room and restock towels, empty trash, etc. For $700 plus a night I expected far better. They also screwed up the room charges and payment. Very disappointed.

This was a just fine hotel, but as one of the nicest hotels (and most expensive) in Dewey we expected it to be nicer. Whoever decided that hotels should have opaque bathroom doors and no bathroom fans for circulation should be punished. This is not unique to this hotel, but there's no fan, it's difficult to close the bathroom door, it's kind of sheer, and you just don't feel like you have privacy. Also we had an interior room so our window opened out over the lobby. My fault for booking that, but we were book last minute, that's on me. The pull out bed was okay for my son - no fitted sheet, but I don't think an adult could sleep on it. The bed also seemed small for a king, but was very comfy. Very nice perks in the lobby every day like free candy / drinks. We didn't take advantage of the continental breakfast but it looked average. great having covered, reserved parking, easy to get in and out of. It's also hard to find hotels in Dewey with elevators and this had that. Staff was great.

Positives - Customer Service was great and responsive when I did have to call. The person that fixed our TV issue was good and helped a lot. Pool area was nice and towels provided for the pool. Nice to have a bar for late night cocktails. Overall, I will consider finding a different hotel to use.

Bay a block away Ocean 2 blocks away Parking very easy in the garage Staff is 10/10. Issue was with our room… our bedding and the extra blanket bedding had short dog hair all over. We had our room serviced and still dog hair in the sheets and around on the floor. I have allergies and this made it really hard to sleep and be in the room at all.
