Dwarika's Sanctuary - A Himalayan Wellness Retreat

The resort is spread out on a hill, with various activity rooms spread across the natural lush landscape. The atmosphere is serene and is ideal for a wellness retreat and you can completely disconnect from the outside world. They have excellent activities, including Yoga, Meditation, sound healing, painting, pottery etc. But most importantly it was the best service i have experienced, they were able to accommodate all my requests and were were warm and helpfull. As it is spread out on a hill you are often dependant on the the resort cart to take you to places. But it was always readily available so it was not really an issue.

Nepal is an exceptional part of the world in itself, and Dwarika's Dhulikhel is an exceptional place in Nepal. The resort is outstanding; the design of the suites, and of every single spot (bar, restaurant, spa, outdoor spaces) beautiful. But its main assets are the people; polite, friendly, helpful; the best hotels of the world may learn the art of hospitality from them. It's a place you will not want to leave. And you will not leave because there is so much to do with plenty included in the price. You may have morning and evening yoga classes with the best yoga gurus you will ever have a chance to meet. The same can be said about breathing and meditation gurus (even though that was above the level of our expertise). Ayuverdic medicine consultation is a must. It doesn't matter whether you have a problem or not; go there just to learn something new from the top class, highly educated doctors. Food is delicious. A cooking class with the chef (a small additional fee) brilliant. Spa treatment (additional fees) excellent. Absolutely nothing. Getting there on your own would be difficult, but they will arrange a transfer for you from/ to any place in Kathmandu (or perhaps any place).

What can I say about an exceptional venue? Great location, excellently presented grounds, lovely nature, lovely staff, lovely service, great food, great views, tranquility, peace, cleanliness, everything all rolled into one. Highly recommend this place for solo, for family, for groups, for friends, for loved ones, for partners, for anyone really and their spa service was also exceptional and lots of smiley staff everywhere. Very helpful. I miss this place already.

I really love the concept — the way they merge the stay with spiritual activities is truly special. The food was excellent, and all the teachers and gurus were wonderful. They were supportive, generous with their knowledge, and shared everything in a very thoughtful and accessible way. I deeply appreciate everything I learned from them; these teachings will stay with me, and I’ll carry them forward in my life. I was quite disappointed with how the reception team managed the experience. Upon arrival, I was informed that the chakra chambers were closed — which was actually the main reason I made the booking. The initial conversation was filled with phrases like “no” and “not available,” rather than offering alternatives or solutions. It was only after I expressed my dissatisfaction that they started looking for options, but at this level of service, solutions should be proactively provided, not reactive. This is positioned as a luxury experience, so I expected to receive what was promised in the schedule. I wasn’t asking for anything additional — just what had been advertised. Their response that “no one else has complained” was dismissive and unhelpful. Additionally, I noticed that any time I needed assistance, there were consistent delays. It’s clear the reception staff would benefit from further training in customer service and experience management

The staff were so friendly and welcoming, I enjoyed talking to them all and learning from the gurus too. I loved all the activities from meditation to pottery. The food was incredible, some of the best I’ve ever had especially the Biryani and Dahl Makhani The facilities were great. Huge rooms done really nicely. I felt relaxed and looked after the entire time I was there and was sad to leave!

Beautiful serene property - such attention to detail!!! Wonderful Yoga and meditation classes, and salt cave. We would’ve loved to stay longer - will return for a longer stay. The views of the Himalayas, the well maintained grounds and secluded seating areas made it hard to leave the property….and to top it off, the staff went out of their way to make you comfortable. nothing.

What a lovely resort to rest, relax and recharge. Plenty of onsite activities to participate in - yoga, meditation and spa. There are 2 swimming pools as well. The staff were attentive and friendly and helpful and made sure that I was well fed and comfortable. Special thanks to the onsite Ayurvedic doctor, Ashish (restaurant manager) and Sivaram (yoga teacher), the meditation teacher and to everyone else who made my stay all the more enjoyable and pleasant. Being able to contact the resort staff via Whatsapp for any assistance was also very helpful and convenient. There really wasn't anything to dislike about the resort, perhaps if the outdoor pool was heated, it would be more enjoyable to have a swim and enjoy the view.

Great location, lots of activities, the rooms are amazing, infinity pool with a view, immersed in nature Pricey but you know this when you sign up for it. As a treat it was worth it

The hotel is in the beautiful location, all facilities are luxurious and super clean, and comfortable. They had great activities planned throughout the day which were very interesting to partake in. Great breakfast, except cappucino/latte. The drinks and food were not worth of their price, even cappucino or latte coffee was done not properly and all drinks seemed to have been diluted with water. Some of the staff were not wanting to help or not very polite, creating stressful situations.
