The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Staff were lovely, very attentative, big shout out to Zara, Tyler and Charlie. Would have been great to have bedside lamps that ran seperate to main light, but just got on with it.

We didn't eat here as we came to see family. We found the staff very helpful and friendly. Cleanliness in the room was spot on. It was just what we needed for a break. Cheers. We where staying in room 3 and the shower head had no power behind it. We would have said something but we went out early every day and forgot when we came back.

The only thing we liked was the convenient location. Just about everything else was way below expectations. Not being able to distinguish between staff & customers. The hard wooden tables & ,benches/seats. In the bar. The food at tea & breakfast was very poor being way overcooked at both meals. A customer came into our room using an entry card which should have been cancelled (management appeared to know about this. The shower was just about unusable. I could go on, but I think that will do.

The staff here are lovely, the restaurant/bar menu is excellent and everything we ate was perfectly cooked and delicious. I would highly recommend the orange and rhubarb crumble when it is the crumble of the day! The room was large, bed comfy and fans were available which was a godsend on the hottest day of the year so far! There was plenty of parking and lots of outside seating. Although we didn't play, we liked the fact there was a pool table and dart board. Although everything was "clean enough", I think the whole property could do with a deep clean. Public areas need to dusted more regularly and in the rooms the cleaners need to think about ensuring the whole room is spotless. I was worried from some reviews that it would be really dirty and this was not the case at all but a little more care and attention would make a big difference to some guests.

Ease of checking in and the fact it had much needed air con. The bed was super comfortable too. Drunk blokes noisy outside after 12.30am, it was a bit disruptive.

The fact they gave a refund on some of the cost after we complained We were placed in an old part of the hotel that was clearly under refurbishment. The room was not ready when we arrived at the appointed time and even when it was prepared (hours later) the coffee and tea facilities were not replenished from the previous guests visit even after we asked at reception. The mattress felt like it had no springs in it and the bathroom floor looked as thought it had never seen a mop. The shower was difficult to use also. The blind on the main window did not work well enough to keep out the street light that was outside the room. The area outside was unkempt and clearly not looked after as you will see from the view we had from our window. In the evening we went to the bar for a quiet drink and found there were a lot of drunken youths shouting along to a disco/karaoke both inside and out.
