The pool and pool area area were beautiful - a real stand out feature and facility of the hotel. The breakfast was excellent, with good variety albeit a few more cereal and perhaps some scrambled eggs/bacon would have added to this. Overall, the breakfast was great value for money and enjoyed in a lovely location. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated albeit a little small for all 4 of us (a family room with a double bed and bunk beds in one space). Overall though, we all found the hotel to be a thoroughly relaxing, beautifully decorated and curated space with threat, attentive staff. Location a stones throw from a lovely beach and in south of island near to the le Château-d’Oléron and other nice villages was a bonus. Family room could have been a little bigger. Scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast would have been a bonus!!

It was so comfortable, the room was generous, the staff were kind, the pool was beautiful and the atmosphere was so relaxing. Breakfast was delicious.

We had asked for the same room as we had the previous year, but due to a computer glitch were allocated a smaller and less comfortable on arrival late at night. In an object lesson in how to handle a complaint this was quickly and efficiently put right the next morning with charm and apologies, to the extent that we were given an extremely comfortable and spacious suite on the ground floor for the next two nights at a reduced price. The breakfast was excellent, the fittings and decor were exceptional for a three star hotel and the staff were unfailingly professional, helpful and friendly (the average French hotel staff could learn a lot from them). The pool area is sheltered and very well kept - there is even an anti-mosquito machine nearby - and the general location is quiet but convenient for local villages with markets, restaurants etc,. not far away. All of this comes at a price, however. Nothing.

Location convenient for beaches. Staff really helpful and friendly. Breakfast excellent. Room rather small with limited hanging space for towels and clothes. Noise from nearby road traffic during the night.

The accommodation was excellent and the beds very comfortable. Hotel was very clean. Breakfast was good and always being topped up. We often had the pool to ourselves and there were plenty of sun beds available. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing

The hotel’s location is great, additionally you have the chance to rent a bike in order to explore the island or drive to the beach nearby. The team of the hotel was always forthcoming and approachable and made the stay exceptional and really recommendable!
