Orka Apartments

Before our arrival, the host communicated very well, with good details about how to get to the apartment and how to get into the building. She was very responsive and helpful. She also provided a handout in the apartment with lots of helpful information including local phone numbers for 911, pharmacies, etc. The location worked well for us, since we were coming in on the ferry and it is within 1 mile walk of the ferry dock. It is also very close to a bus stop where you can catch a bus to the Old Town. However, if our main goal had been to visit the Old Town over multiple days, this would not have been the best location and I would have chosen something in or closer to the Old Town. When we arrived at the apartment at 7 PM and found it was dirty, the host responded rapidly and ultimately vacuumed it, which we appreciated. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was nice with a large shower. When we arrived, the apartment was not clean. There were a lot of crumbs in kitchen drawers, some kind of material (maybe sauce?) stuck to the wall behind the dining table, and debris on the floor as if it had not been vacuumed. Also the first time I tried to open a cabinet door to get a plate, the door fell off one of the hinges. We contacted the owner, and she arrived promptly, but our conversation was awkward and tense. She insisted that she had checked the apartment earlier in the day and it was clean at that time, which did not make sense as I had just arrived and took photos to send her of the dirty areas. It felt like she was saying we were wrong and it was not dirty, when clearly it was. This was frustrating. I appreciated that she was then willing to vacuum the apartment that evening, but it left me feeling disappointed by the stay.

The public parking was inexpensive (when compared with private parkings in the area). The view to the harbour was nice. Very poor communication from whoever was renting the apartment. Dated interior, especially the bathroom.

I recently stayed at Orka Apartments in Dubrovnik and had a fantastic experience! The apartment was clean, modern, and spacious, with all the necessary amenities (AC, kitchen, comfortable beds). The highlight was the breathtaking sea view from the balcony—perfect for morning coffee or sunset drinks. The host was incredibly welcoming, providing helpful tips on local restaurants and attractions. The location was quiet yet convenient, just a short busride from the Old Town and close to beaches. TIP : BUY the 3 day Bus Pass and the WALL pass Combo - works cheaper and effective ! The Swimming pool was in open so the water was cold. Heated pool would be great to have !

Greatl apartment and clean. Great location for trips, the promenade or a walk to the old town. Bus stops close by. Highly recommend.

From the minute we arrived and met AnnaMarija, we were made to feel very welcome and immediately felt at ease. AnnaMarija is a lovely friendly host, the apartments are really comfortable, clean and the amenities are excellent. I can't rate Orka apartments enough. Leaving

Perfect location with great views and a lovely host. Lots of good restaurants near by and good transport links or within walking distance to other districts.

We loved the layout of our apartment. We had a little seating area, wardrobe, couch, tv, double bed, a little kitchenette and bathroom. Bed was super comfortable. It was perfect for the two of us. We also liked how close it was to the bus stop for Old Town. Only about a 6-7 minute walk to the bus stop going for the town and then a 2 minute walk from the bus stop coming back from Old Town. Old Town is approximately 10 mins by bus. There is also a little alleyway near the apartment which was a great shortcut up to the main promenade in Lapad. Anamarija, our host, was super helpful and easy to deal with. We also met her lovely mother in law who gave us a few tips about the area. All in all, we absolutely loved this place and would not hesitate to book again! Thank you, Anamarija! We only had two small issues. We only got one pillow each and no spares. They were too soft for us (personal preference) so we put towels under them to perk them up a bit. The other issue was that we had an apartment on the ground floor inside the main door. We loved the location of the apartment but it just meant at nighttime we heard every guest coming and going out the main door, some of which were very loud. We both used earplugs after that so it was alright then.

The property is in the perfect central location in Lapad only 10-15 mins from the old town. Plenty of great restaurants close by and near the port and supermarkets. As soon as we checked in and spoke to Anamarija she was so kind and welcoming. She made sure we had everything we needed and could contact her with any queries or info we needed. The apartment was a great size, very light with all of the sun that comes in. I loved the time I spent at the Orka Apartments and exploring Dubrovnik, a wonderful place

Love this section of Dubrovnik with small boat marinas around and lots of charming bistros, very walkable. Breakfast is provided in their attached Orka restaurant, very abundant. There’s an electric kettle for your morning tea, and mini kitchen. Great sound insulating windows totally shut out street noise when closed. Beautiful pool area with lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Owner is responsive, but things weren’t fixed in time for a good night’s sleep. Be ready for several flights of stairs. There was a problem with the air conditioner, which started leaking, buckling the wall plaster, so we had to turn it off. That made sleeping more difficult, as it was hot and we had to crack the soundproofing windows. Also, the power to the lights and water heater in the bathroom went off intermittently. Maybe avoid Room 3.

Property was well kept, clean and tidy. A quiet area too which was ideal. Location is convenient too, near local bus stops and main bus station in Dubrovnik so was easy to get to and from Airport and Old Town, and close to markets, pharmacies etc. Host was very helpful and easily contactable. No major faults
