Impressive building. Close to road and rail network Food very poor. After our first evening, we could not eat there for the remaining three nights as we had been put off by the first dinner

Breakfast was decent, the rooms were clean, hotel staff on the whole were pleasant. The grounds and exterior of the building are lovely. Good location. The staff in the leisure facility were unfriendly particularly a man called Ben who went out of his way to make a simple interaction as unpleasant and difficult as possible. The interior of the hotel is quite dull and tired, could definitely do with a freshen up. We went to the downstairs lounge for dinner which had a weird, 1980’s social club atmosphere. The young man who served us was lovely though. The food wasn't terrible but not great either.

Location and surroundings and facilities The grounds, the view from the front of the hotel facilities and above

Warm pool and hot sauna. Staff efficient and helpful. Fluffy towels. Comfortable and quiet rooms. Historic building. Generous breakfast spread. Wish they had USB charging instead of just usual plug ins for devices in the room. I liked all the historic charm but if you don’t like stairs or you have a big suitcase, you’ll need to use the lift and there’s only one.

Room in main building was lovely with a great view and doggie treats provided too

Nice large stately hotel with amazing views down the expansive lawn from an impressive building. Staff were friendly and helpful when approached. It's a large hotel, clearly used a lot for Weddings and Corporate events, which leads it to lacking a little of the personal touch, with some of the bar/restaurant areas lacking a little character. But it's central enough to Dunblane and surrounding area and comfortable with a good restaurant. Good location and impressive vista.

The view and breakfast The rooms were a bit outdated for the price we paid

Restaurant & food are lovely. Room was lovely had everything you need. Pool was good. Currently being renovated so bar & lounge upstairs closed. Lots of workmen around.

Room was spacious, lovely welcome at reception. Sofa bed was flimsy for our kids. It was unclear what items in the room were provided and which would be charged (minibar).

Staff were very friendly and were great with my 2 year old. Breakfast was expensive but very good. The family room we stayed in was a great size for us all. It was very busy when we were there and parking was a struggle. Bathroom had mould on the roof and the sink wasn't very clean. Other items in the room like cups and glasses were not very clean. The wifi was terrible and the tv in the room was not connected to it. I had to stream from my phone to the tv using my own data.

One person in our party had a disability and the staff were outstanding in accommodating our needs. We were instantly given an upgrade next to a lift and a parking spot close to the entrance. The room was large and comfortable. We ordered food from the bar and it was brought to our room as we were unable to negotiate the stairs to the bar, The breakfast was generous and tasty.Exceptional value all round .
