La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Dallas Duncanville

I arrived before 10AM on June 28. I hoped it would allow me time to change and make my meeting. I did not make my meeting and there was very little communications from the front desk. I was told by the personnel, there were no available rooms. In addition, I was told that I couldn’t check-in until after 3PM and no other explanation or update. I checked out the following day and not have this issue with another hotel I selected. I am disappointed with Laquinta hotel that during these economical challenging times. The hotel would stoop to cheating its clients and patrons. Perhaps the challenges Laquinta is experiencing has caused your operations to no longer put customers as a priority.

The stay was very satisfying. The staff was very professional and friendly. They went above expectations - and it showed. The hotel was quiet and comfortable, with nice decorations and furniture in good condition . The ONE item that did not make the grade was the indoor pool. The water was clear - but the bottom was dirty and slimey. Dirt and hair clumps covered the bottom.

Overall, I would give this hotel a 3 or maybe a 4 out of 10, mainly because the staff was so nice and friendly. The moment I walked in, I probably should have turned around because there was a very strange smell throughout the building. It wasn’t a fresh scent at all. However, after driving nearly seven hours, I was exhausted and just wanted to rest. The check-in process was quick and easy.When we got to our room, my kids immediately said they didn’t want to sleep there. There were stains all over the walls, holes in the lampshades, sticky floors, and it looked like there had been a leak at some point because parts of the wall were cracked and poorly patched. The bathtub was also very unpleasant. I went back to the front desk and requested another room. Once again, the staff was helpful and made the process easy. The second room was better, but it still didn’t meet my expectations. At that point, I decided to make the best of it. Later, I took the kids to the pool, but that area was also very dingy, and the water did not appear clean. The rooms are not soundproof at all. My room was next door to a kids’ baseball team, and the noise carried right through the walls. It was very difficult to relax or get a good night’s sleep. The one bright spot besides the staff was the breakfast, which was actually very good.Unfortunately, despite the friendly employees and decent breakfast, I would not stay here again.

I loved cleanliness of the hotel and the staff was very nice. The amenities were perfect. There was a woman there who offered my husband sex while he was outside on the phone.

Absolutely fabulous stay for our family!
