Ruslamere Hotel & Conference Centre

I recently traveled down to Durbanville as I was looking to invest in a new property in the area. As is always the case, you hope to get a feel for the community and surrounds. Ruslamere set the tone for what I can come to expect out of my investment 10 fold. The staff, the tranquility, the facilities were all 10/10. I highly recommend that your next stay in the area be done so with Ruslamere and their incredible team! I LOVED it all. Not a bad thing to say

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I checked in late afternoon, and checked out late morning - and I was accommodated all throughout. The staff made sure I had everything I needed, and catered to my extra requests. The venue itself is a short drive away from Cape Town, but it's far enough from everything to give you peace and quiet. The food at their restaurant Bagel & Fox was fresh and had very nice portions. Would recommend a stay here for anyone travelling in the Western Cape!

Nice big rooms between cockroaches in the rooms, had to move guest due to this, lukewarm water in the shower, when complained about the water, we were told to just run the water longer, this did not help.

The rooms are well furnished and quite comfortable. Very comfortable double bed. Air conditioner worked well and was quiet. Breakfast was well presented, a bit limited but nevertheless sufficient for the purpose. The area and hotel is very quiet so no disturbances when working at night and sleeping. Eating utensils in the room are very handy The TV was dysfunctional. No bar fridge in the room. No restaurant for dinner. No bar service (unless I missed it). The terrain / garden is not very well managed. Needs more regular maintenance.

Excellent upgrade to room with extra space. Love the mini kitchen and fridge also microwave. Must have when staying longer. Nothing.

The bedding I booked on booking.com and specified my check in time, shortly ther after I received a message from ruslamere via booking.com asking for my check in time after I had already specified it, shortly thereafter I was called by ruslamere AGAIN asking for my check in time. The floors in my room were sticky and dirty The room had a bad odor, almost like masked cigarette smoke The room that was booked for me wasn't available as someone left their belongings and ruslamere clearly didn't do an inspection beforehand and I needed to sleep in a different room The shower water lost heat not even 10 minutes after I started showering The shampoo and conditioner containers were low Someone started knocking on a nearby door at 6:30am and woke me up The charging port on the side of the bed that I wanted to sleep on did not work The breakfast which I ended up not opting in for had a very limited variety Overall quite disappointing.

Always a pleasure to deal with them. Highly professional and very clean. Wi-Fi could be better.

Bit dated needs a revamp

Location Toilet handle was broken; WiFi was super slow; shower wasn’t nice; other guests were extremely loud at night (past midnight) and no one from the property was available to complain to. If there was someone, they certainly didn’t ask them to be respectful to other guests. Breakfast was not worth the money paid.

On arrival the night manager on duty welcomed us with a smile and made us feel at home. The suite was clean, beautifully decorated with complimentary refreshments. The cleaning staff cleaned the suite daily. One of the best hotels that I have stayed in in over four decades.
