Hotel Majestic

Everything was great. The breakfast was good, many choices. The apartment was excellent with beautiful view and it was clean. Nearby are lots of restaurants, markets and also pharmacy if need.

Very good location to the beach, lots of food places around you, close by mini markets. All staff helpful including the breakfast staff, did great in meeting my kids needs. Reception were great allowing us to use the private beach facilities.

We upgraded the room to Junior Suite for a price which is same as booking.com. We liked the sea View from there. I would not suggest this hotel to a family with small kids. From the moment we arrived the staff was very rude. We asked for a room upgrade because it was our anniversary week but they declined. They didn't even give us any bowl or a plate to go in the room. Since we had an infant we had to sterilise the bottles and they couldn't even give us the bowls to take in the room, which was very disappointing. Every hotel we have ever been to has been very accommodating when it comes to kids. Except this hotel! When I asked, "How will I sterilise the bottle?" she blatantly replied, "Use the hot water in the bathroom." Seems she was unaware of the term sterilisation. The limit was when during our breakfast the receptionist interrupted us and took us to our room to show us that water had been spilled. Later it was found out that it had been spilled by the cleaning lady herself(to which we never asked the room to be cleaned that too in our absence) and they blamed it on us and asked for money. Which I later disputed and won because it was clearly their fault and there was no damage. But our breakfast and stay were ruined. Breakfast was also passable. It was the same set every day. It seemed they were reusing the same items the next day. The restaurant in the hotel is supposed to be very good but the food was average. The mushroom pizza we ordered was really bad and the mushrooms were uncooked. TV remote was not working in main room. No room service, minibar was too expensive. No water provided.

Parking is also used for the restaurant, so at the evening it could be full, but the staff will find a solution.

We stayed only for 1 night in low season, and it was good to escape the crowds. It's clean, and staff is nice. Good restaurant for dinner. Good parking Fair price We only stayed for 1 night, so nothing to complain about. It would be good if the hotel had an indoor pool and gym. I would expect that from a 4* hotel.

Perfect location ,pool is a huge plus for summer. There is nothing to dislike about Hotel Majestic. I would return without hesitation.

The breakfast was terrible. Most of the staff behaved very poorly, except the waiters in the hotel restaurant, who were very polite. Everyone else was disappointing in every way.

The beach is nearby, the pool is excellent, and the food is good. There are many good places to eat nearby.

The property’s best feature was its location, right across from the beach. Other than that, the overall trip wasn’t great Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing. They charged extra for the pool, the food was terrible, and the staff was rude. The room I booked looked nothing like the pictures it was split into two sections via a balcony, the curtains didn’t block the light, and every morning there was loud noise from the restaurant. Overall, not a good experience.

Right next to the beach This place is massively overpriced for what they offer. The rooms are old, with very old furniture and bathrooms. Breakfast is very poor in quantity and quality. It is just unfair. You would get a room in a high-quality hotel in any other country for that price. Negative review for the restaurant as well: had massive diarrhea after a shrimp carpaccio, and also they let people smoke everywhere, so disgusting!

The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel's restaurant was quite nice, offering good food and a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the room maintenance was very poor. There was a bad smell in the room, visible mold in the bathroom, and everything felt very outdated. The pool was surprisingly small and required an extra payment, which was disappointing. The condition of the room was so uncomfortable that we decided to leave a day earlier than planned, even though we had already paid for the full stay.

Close to the beach and clean - but that’s the end of the pros. Skip this property- not a 4 star hotel. Where to begin. This stay was full of issues, culminating in a general feeling of being unwanted by staff and our very presence was a nuisance. For what is advertised as a four star hotel, we were anticipating much more than we got. Of all the 2 and 3 star hotels we’ve been staying at across Albania, they had way more amenities and better service than this property. The issues: - have to pay extra for the pool - No amenities in the room, ie. kettle, coffee, tea, shampoos, soaps - Wifi was so slow we just used data - We asked how the beach works and what the system is (ie. are drinks served on the beach, is there a towel service) front desk told us to ask the beach attendant, beach attendant said he didn’t know. - The booking ad says the hotel has a shuttle service and airport shuttle, when in fact this is actually just a taxi. When we asked the front desk to book us a taxi to see the historic sites in Durrës, they said that they can give us the number and we can do it ourselves. - We asked where to find a mailbox to send off some postcards and was told, “there isn’t mail like that in Albania” (we mailed postcards in Shkodër earlier that week.) - While checking out, we were made to wait while they checked our room for missing items. In other hotels we were simply asked what or if we used items from the mini bar. - Lastly, as our taxi arrived to take us away from this place, the parking attendant started arguing with the cab driver that he can’t park there. IN FRONT OF THE HOTEL to pick us up. The property was close to the beach and the rooms were clean, but that was the only thing going for this stay. With so many other hotels along the beach, stay somewhere where you might actually feel welcomed to be there.
