Very long walk from the main facilities. Luckily, there were luggage buggies which we used to transport our 4 year old.

Location (right in the NP), dog friendly, WiFi was good enough, house was nice and well equipped, brasserie was cosy and well priced. Great hiking routes from the park (14k hike was lovely). Gate opened with no issues. Not a real isssue but there is not a supermarket there (only small shop with not many things) and not one very nearby. No towells (but we took them with us). Shower room is very basic but not a deal breaker.

We had Chalet Apollo. Enough space, nice and useful kitchen (well utilized). Beds were comfortable. The air conditioning device was enough to warm up the chalet (7-8°C outside during the night) Beautiful terrace (in warmer weather, it is for sure a highlight and has direct access into the kitchen). Parking place near the chalet. The access barrier is not causing any troubles (some other reviews stating this as inconvenient). It worked every time without any issues. I entered the code only once in the beginning and then it was automatically opening by reading the car registration number. One of the bathrooms had a very bad smell. I guess it is because of the floor drain which allows the bad odor from sewerage to come inside. Luckily there is another toilet and another shower so we could simply close the smelly one and use only the one which was fine. The dining table inside is rather small if 6 persons are trying to use it. (We were 2 adults and 2 kids, so I am not complaining. It's just a hint)

It is a quiet area at the outshirts of the resort area. Nice pub/restaurant. Good parking. OK wifi. Arriving late and departing early is a problem since the tourist tax has to be paid in the reception which has opening hours from 9-17 only. It would be much easier if it could be paid together with the rental cost for the house. With a RCN account it can be paid by credit card after the visit. There is a stove but without a baking oven. There is a micro also.

Stopped here for two nights to visit the Assen MotoGP. Great location set in a beautiful part of the world. Very peaceful and everyone we met were polite and friendly. The staff were chatty and friendly too, and always with smiles on their faces. We stayed in a wooded two story tent type structure that was really really cool. Bedroom upstairs, kitchen diner downstairs with a large enough decked area for relaxing. Hot and cold running water and excellent WiFi signal considering you’re in the middle of the woods. The toilet and shower block were a great facility and very clean, respect to all who used them and the staff that maintained them. The only downside was rubbish disposal at the end of the stay. Understandably you are required to dispose of your rubbish at the end of your stay, however as we were on a motorbike we had to trek all the way back to reception with our large rubbish bag, and we were not the furthest from reception, I’m glad we were not at the outer limits of the site.

The location in the middle of the natural park was great. Super peaceful and we had our own terrace with a pergola, so even if it was raining we could stay outside. No cutting board, only 1 toilet paper, no toaster. One of the bed sheets had a bit of mold.
