Youth Hostel Echternach

The design of the beds are way better designed compared to what I saw at your Haute Sure hostel. You can plug your phone and keep your personal belongings next to you. It is just missing a curtain to have more privacy. The staff was friendly.

They booked children in rooms who screamed down the halls and banged on the doors.

The staff was friendly and there were a surprisingly good amount of different amenities. The hostel was clean and the beds were comfortable. Some of the facilities were quite lacklustre. The food (while it was a nice and affordable inclusion) left a lot to be desired, the drinks were pricey and the showers turned off every few seconds, which made for a very uncomfortable experience.

The lockers don't come with a key or a lock, so if you prefer your things locked, make sure to take one but there was plenty of space to put my stuff.

The flys were terrible. at check out they attempted to charge me double meals, which we sorted out.

Youth Hostel Echternach exceeded all expectations! The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. He made check-in smooth and was always ready with local tips. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, offering a great place to rest after a long day of hiking. The hostel's facilities were well-maintained, with plenty of space to relax or socialize. The location is unbeatable, peaceful and scenic, yet just a short walk from the town center. And if you're here for nature, it doesn't get better: it's very close to the Mullerthal Trail, making it the perfect base for exploring Luxembourg’s “Little Switzerland.” Overall, it’s an ideal spot for hikers, nature lovers, and backpackers. I’d absolutely stay here again! ❤️❤️

What an amazing place. For the price you pay it really is remarkable. We paid 10 euro extra pp per night for a room just for the two of us and it was worth it. Showers (which were hot!) and toilet in individual cubicles in the room. Lockers were large for storage. Each bed had a charging point and two cubby holes plus great lights for reading. There was also a sitting area on the first floor where we were staying with books, games, activities etc. So it was very family friendly. The lakeside setting was glorious, short walk into the main town and the bus depot where the transport is free and plentiful. There was also a supermarket within ten minutes walk where you could buy packed lunches. The breakfast was pretty standard but delicious and set us up for the day. The fact you could walk directly from the door was just wonderful. Absolutely nothing. I couldn't fault it for the price.

Affordable. Good location. Convenient. Toilet in room with no hand soap. Breakfast very minimalistic and not many veg options (cereal, yogurt, fruits, bread) however cannot complain given included in price.

Luxembourg is great, simple and polite people and amazing preserved nature. Hidden gem ?

Clean and great location. Free parking. Beautiful view. A bit noisy but nothing unusual for a hostel. Dinner a little to expensive for what you ger and the restaurant closes to early..breakfast starts late in my opinion.

Friendly check-in, clean facility, warm room (stayed in frosty February), basic but superb breakfast + fantastic location. Youth Hostels are such a value for money, especially in low season ;)
