Hotel Allegro Einsiedeln

Very rude when tried to check in a bit early. Room had no fan and just a really small bed. Open windows let a terrible smell in. Only one plug in the bedroom. Lunch wasn't good. Especially fighting the mass of flies.

Breakfast was great! For people travelling by/with bike: bike storage is available for free, together with tools and place to work on bikes. Facilities are similar to a youth hostel - prices too, so I think that's fair enough.

Huge, very simple

Stayed at the hostel part. Clean snd quiet. A ground floor terrace with drinks and food available, and a comfortable bar on the rooftop with nice views. We were hiking so not a huge deal but is a bit outside the city center. Only a single shower on our floor so had to wait a bit for it to free up.

The staff were amazing and they were smiling. The view in the room was great. Breakfast Experience: Unfortunately, the breakfast did not meet expectations. The variety of food offered was very limited, and the cleanliness of the restaurant needs improvement — there were noticeable hygiene issues under some tables. Additionally, there were many flies present, which made the dining experience uncomfortable. I was looking forward to enjoying breakfast during my stay, but it fell short of expectations. Room Amenities: The room lacked a mini-fridge, which is typically a standard feature in most hotels. This was a bit inconvenient. General Concerns: One particularly disturbing incident occurred when a dog inside the hotel, near the reception area, saw a cat and began barking loudly. The noise was extremely disruptive and unpleasant. Allowing dogs in indoor public areas may not be suitable for all guests.

Quite basic but functional and functional rooms. I had expected more of the breakfast though. Cold cuts were almost finished. Bread not as good as it usually is in Switzerland.

The man at reception was grumpy

Great location especially if you’re traveling with a dog, as it’s about a 10 minute walk outside the old town. It’s clean, but the rooms are very basic and look as if they haven’t been renovated since 1978. Beds are comfortable though and sheets and towels are clean. The breakfast buffet was generous and delicious. The reception and main dining area look renovated and relatively modern. Staff were absolutely friendly (also to our dog which is not always a given in “dog friendly hotels) and helpful. Parking should be included. Where else are you supposed to park? And it’s outside of town, so there should be ample free parking.
