El Nido Beach Hotel

Bad experience, the hotel is on a bay, where the boats depart for the Islands, so the water is dirty, dogs running around and dogs' poop on the beach, oil can be seing on the beach. I booked that hotel by mistake it shows as 1*, I meant to book a 4* one. I could not cancel online as it was not reimbursable. I paid over USD 1,000 for 8 days. When I arrived, I requested to speak with a supervisor and no-one was available. The ladies at the reception kept going into an office and coming out repeating that supervisor's would tell me the same thing "no reimbursement". While waiting, I went to the breakfast area to use the Bathroom. The place was filthy, the breakfast area was filthy, flies were all over the poor quality food. The bathroom was filthy with no toilet paper. A lady told me that the manager was not in the office and off sick. So, I had no other option but staying. The bathroom was filthy, the room was dark, there was an old TV with only local channels. People passing in front of the room, so the dark curtains have to be left closed for privacy, blocking the view. The day after, I asked for the supervisor, who was not welcoming, I explained to him my mistake and asked for consideration of reimbursement, he refused. After a long discussion, he offer another room on the second floor, he dad that "it was an upgrade", I agreed, rather than loosing my money. So, that room was noisy, with a newer TV but still only local channels, the air conditioner did not work, it was always at 26 degrees even if I adjusted it to a lower temperature. The bathroom was a bit better but still filthy with mold on the corners. I opted to depart a couple of days earlier to another location due to the fact that I could no longer stay in that hotel.

The beach is right in front of the room, which presents an awesome view of the beach & the sea. The location was good, not too close to the noisy nighttime activity areas. However, it is just a short walk to shopping and dining areas. The staff were friendly and helpful.

the location is good and direct access to the beach. The staffs are very friendly and helpful very simple room with limited facility. not worth the price.

The sink water is black couldn't use the sink at all. Its noisy at all hours. Tiny little bugs. Breakfast was limited.

Great view There was a domestic dispute next to my room and I was awoken at 5 am and the hotel did nothing to accommodate

Average Not really clean

It was overrated for the price, the balcony door was broken. And I don’t know if it’s mosquitoes or bed bugs. But it’s on all over our body. The beach looks good in the picture but it was not on the actual. At least the staff are being nice.

This hotel is right on the beach and a small walk to all the restaurants in town - it is in the best location. The staff are all lovely and couldn’t be more accommodating. The property is an older one and showing signs of age but still fair. I would still stay again.

The staff very friendly. And the location We had to ask to separate the bed and for blankets. The stairs were a little problem for my friend but not to much.

Exactly as expected - 3 star. Great location, right on the beach - perfect for diving. The rooms are outdated but they made it as comfortable as can be. The AC unit was brand new so it kept our room cold. The beds were average/ the shower is old and outdated but still worked and satisfied the job. Overall, average stay.

Location is amazing!! Staff are very helpful. You can refill your water bottles at the retaurant. Building and facilities could do with an upgrade, or refurbishment. Old building and facilities. Food was okay.

Wonderful view, but room isn't clean. Location is great if you just wanna have a place to leave your stuff while spending most of the time out exploring, I've stayed in cheap motels that had cleaner bathroom and room.

This is a decent place. It’s located at the far end of the beach, which makes it much quieter than the nearby places, yet it’s only a couple minutes walk to where the main tourist are is. The breakfast was decent and the rooms look right out on the beach. Nothing

Location is good. Hotel staffs were polite and helpful. Rooms are outdated and dirty. AC is outdated. TV is outdated. No YouTube. No Netflix. Remote control shows chinese language. Water dripping from the split type AC. Towels are very old. Room floor is sticky and not cleaned properly.

Location is perfect. Rooms with seaview has really great view. I booked a room with balcony but i wasn’t given a room with balcony. I had spesifically searched for a room with balcony. One of the receptionist was very rude. She said “the room you booked is not available in your dates”. After hearing a reply there is not much to say. I reported to Booking.com but they didn’t help too, they just gave a coupon as if it is what i asked for. Customer service of Hotel management and booking.com was disappointing. The breakfast wasn’t very good. No soundproof, i heard people next room. Remote of a/c was chinese, this shows how much the hotel management cares about customer satisfaction.

Superb

The hotel is located on the first line 15m from the sea, close to cafes and shops. The room and shower need renovation. I wished there was an extra stool in the room for a second person, because it is hot to be on the balcony and a towel for the feet in the shower.

We like that it is very close to the docking / pier where all the pick-up for tours, island hopping and dive. It’s practical to avoid travel time when you do all water activities. Also, its in the town proper so all the restaurants shops are nearby. There are little glitches like our room has sockets that is not properly covered, coming from health and safety perspective its not good to leave an open socket/ its not properly covered ( when you charge phones etc) , the mattress is too tough as well for a relaxing sleep. We booked with breakfast and i think there is room for improvement when it comes to coffee and breakfast options. Other than that the staff are really helpful, the property is clean, the room is clean.. i dont expect for a high-end sheets or duvet but its decent enough.
