The room was in the basement and was stuffy. The fire alarm went off 2 times in the middle of the night due to "someone possibly taking a hot shower". Called the help number given at check-in, and it was not answered. The windows were so high up in the room that they were useless for egress in emergency. This bargain was no deal.

We were awakened by a blaring fire alarm at 3 AM and when we reported it, the older female staff member was annoyed that we woke her up. The next morning we asked for fresh towels and the same employee agreed, but never replaced the towels. The woman that checked us in was quite polite. The hotel premises are quite beautiful.

the property is in quiet and well kept neighborhood the room was smaller than what was advertised but it was clean with a balcony/porch which was used as an entrance/exit out of the room into clean and well paved large parking lot .receptionist/staff could be more friendly.

It was a nice stay.

Everything was perfect!

For the price it would be nice to have a continental breakfast offered.

No control heat/AC in our room. Remarkably warm all night long during hot July weather.

Nice place to stay near Merriweather Post Pavilion. Very quiet and friendly staff. The rooms are big.

The charm, uniqueness and the style of the property. It's in a nice area of Columbia and close to many restaurants, shopping and grocery stores. There were no amenities like described on the website. No game room, workout room, and no appetizers and wine tasting offered like the pictures online. For the price we paid to stay there for 1 night, we should have gotten a hot breakfast. Our room had several light bulbs burnt out. The bathmat was unraveling at the seem, and the outside deck and cushions were worn, faded and torn. The little details matter, especially at that price.

I stayed in B2, which is a basement room. It had a VERY strong mildew odor, chipped furniture with crooked drawers, and patchwork paint on the ceilings. This room does NOT warrant the 3.5 rating that this property has, however, other rooms may be better. The shower was clean, however, so they earned one Star for that.

Superb

The room was large and the king sized bed was comfortable and there was a desk and a TV. The AC worked well. The fireplace was electric. There was a large deck in back. The floors on the balconies didn't seem sturdy and the hotel seems to suffer from a little delayed maintenance. There is no staff on duty past 10 pm, until 9:00 am. There are many awards posted on the walls, so the hotel has an interesting history. Parking is plentiful. It may be up for sale.

Home away from home rice quick getaway A couple of things need to be updated such as the fireplace. The flame was not working and the dome lights over the Jacuzzi was not working.

We stayed in the T suite located in the basement. The room was large with two queen size beds. The bathroom was nicely renovated and very clean. I did find the bed a bit uncomfortable and the room a little warn. Would have been nice to have a ceiling or floor fan to help circulate the air.
