Holiday Inn Express London-Epsom Downs by IHG

Love staying here and have done numerous times over the years. For some reason the double bed seemed very small. Can't recall there being an issue previously. Still had a good night's sleep !

Cost , location, staff Nothing not to like

Location Everything dated and often faulty. Coffee disgusting. Bar has no corkscrew!! Requested and agreed a double bed - but got twin. TV is an antique.

The environment was very peaceful and restful Nothing

The staff were very accommodating The carpets in the hallway looked quite dirty.

The reception team were brilliant, I had booked the wrong day and they sorted it out for me

good could be a little better laid out as not a lot of room when busy and had to find cutlery and plates tables a little small. where is was staff very good not bad very quite considering it was busy

The hotel was very clean and organised. My son and I felt comfortable. Everyone was helpful (staff) Breakfast amazing. I wish they offered more options for dinner too, not just pizza☺️

Staff were lovely and our room was very clean. Unfortunately the pull out bed for our girls (13 & 11) was terrible to sleep on. It was quite small and a very thin mattress so they could feel the wooden bars through the mattress and had a terrible sleep. So our room was not suitable for a family of 4. I love a strong coffee to start the day but the coffee at breakfast was so awful I couldn't drink it. By the time we got down to breakfast at 9ish, the eating area felt very dirty.

Friendly staff beautiful views Room was small, light above mirror didn't work, sofa bed edges sharp and dangerous for my daughter, phone wires trailing through room, no shower get in bathroom, dusty unit with TV, breakfast staff showed bad hygiene habits - dirty tables using same piece of tissue to wipe multiple tables

Breakfast included which is always good with children/families. Good location for us, we were staying to go to Chessington which was within half hour from this hotel. 24 hour pizza was good, we had this in the evening after returning from our day trip. The sofa bed that was in our room wasn't very comfortable, children complained that it was uncomfortable. Would have been nice to have a small park possibly outside.

The staff are so helpful friendly, the hotel is really nice and clean, the reception/bar area was so nice and relaxed, room was very comfortable and clean we slept great! Although the room overall was super clean, behind the net curtains on the window frame needs some attention but didn’t affect our stay we had a great experience
