Fab stay. Cozy, charming, food extraordinary, staff lovely and attentive. Room spacious and the spa was relaxing and comfortable. HIGHLY recommend asking for a massage with Mehendran, he was fantastic! Wildlife sightings were abundant and the property was well cared for and we enjoyed playing croquet on the lawn before dinner. Spa was a little sparse on amenities --

All of the food was well prepared and delicious. We had more than enough to eat and snack on. Our cottage was nicely stocked with drink options including tea and hot chocolate. The bathrooms were very spacious, and the separate tub was wonderful! The beds were also very comfortable. The staff was exceptional as well. We had car trouble on the way had a 4 hr delay due to a flat tire. When I called the hotel, they were so understanding and concerned for our wellbeing. They knew exactly where we were and called me a few times to check on us. We finally arrived at about 9pm and they had soup and sandwiches waiting for us. We also loved how inviting the island is. You are encouraged to explore at your own pace even in the rain!!There are harry coos, horses and goats to delight you and the coast line is stunning. My friends and I loved everything about our stay at Isle of Eriska! Having a fan in the room would be a nice option.

It’s a beautiful, older estate house which has been turned into a hotel. It has a wonderful wood burning fireplace and lots of places to sit and relax. They can arrange for you to go to the Isle of Mull and we did falconry on the property, which we loved. It is not really close to anything, but we did not want to stay in Oban (the nearest town)

Location and ambience. Also the authentic feel of being on an island and a Scottish castle. The price of the dinner at the Restsurant was a bit too high but the food quality was good.

Everything! The wonderful hikes and nature around the property, the impeccable staff, the amazing view and the incredible food all absolutely made our trip to Scotland perfect.. It was all wonderful.

Location, facilities, staff & grounds. New staff not up to speed of standards. The glasses used to serve Spirits and Soft drinks were thick rimmed and unsophisticated. Cooked breakfasts were not great. Potato scones were not cooked and we think scottish breakfast should be served spread out on the plate, not in a tower in the middle of the plate.

From start to finish our stay was excellent. Staff gave us a great welcome and couldn't do enough to make us comfortable. Our room had a great view and both room and bathroom were large with every facility. The upgraded spa and deck restaurant has been tastefully done. The small plates served were delicious. And the location is spectacular. Wonderful views in all directions.

Not much. Cold toast, and 30 minute wait for cooked breakfast. Service varied between good and poor. Our room had paint peeling off the wall. The TV didn't work. The towel rail in the bathroom was dangerous - I burnt my hand. Poor storage for clothes. No way is this as 5 star hotel. The extensive grounds were in a very poor state of repair and maintenance. The standard of staff, when you could find them, was generally poor. They were mostly from India, while very polite, didn't appear to do very much. They were apparently all managers(for some weird visa reason) and there appeared to be a poor relationship with the very few local staff.

The grounds and spa were just perfect ! Room was beautiful We would definitely come back, the only feedback I would give is, dinner at the restaurant is slightly dated. I feel for what the price is for dinner it’s a bit stiff and portions were a little wee. I say this with positive feedback and not too sound on myself I have eaten at Rick steins, been to fabulous restaurants around Scotland Australia New Zealand Norway etc. we would definitely come back just think the restaurant needs to relax a little more and some music also.

Lovely spa facilities, so relaxing and very well maintained spa. I had a massage which was fantastic. The therapist was lovely and friendly. The gentleman at the spa reception also explained everything so well and made sure we had everything we needed. We had booked a cottage with a hot tub too which was excellent. The food in the restaurant was absolutely phenomenal and cooked to perfection. We were also offered some complimentary champagne on arrival as it was a special occasion which was much appreciated. It was a nice touch. The staff were so attentive. We were offered the chance to enter a ballot for an upgrade, which we did but when we arrived we were told there were none of the rooms available. A bit disappointing after thinking we might have had a chance to upgrade (especially considering it was our honeymoon) but it we were still happy as we had booked a lovely cottage.
