Disappointed. I paid extra for the Hampton brand and was left with wet, unruly hair because there was not one drop of conditioner in the shower bottles. Just enough shampoo for one of us, and same with the lotion. No loving touches here. The breakfast was good, and the ladies in the morning were kind, but the check-in gentleman was short and not super friendly. I was sad I spent extra for the few hours we were there, only for it to turn so terrible.

Check in staff was poor. That young man could use some major training. He could start with a smile and taking off is dirty hat.

Perfect for me

Everything was clean and organized and it’s a wonderful property to stay.

Good hotel although the entrance to it was misleading. The city could place better signage so you can see the turn at night and not miss it like I did.

Clean room! Very nice hotel

I've been driving cross-country between Oregon and the East Coast for more than a decade, and Evanston has become my favorite first-night stop. I discovered this town a few years ago because of its convenient location right off the interstate, and the Hampton Inn has become my go-to hotel. The hotel is consistently clean, comfortable, and incredibly convenient after a long day on the road. I especially loved the updated bathroom products—they were a wonderful touch and made the stay feel even more welcoming. Thank you for another great experience. I'll definitely be back on my next cross-country adventure!

The properties going through major renovations, so some stuff wasn’t quite ready yet, but it looks like it’s gonna be very nice. One comment it looks like everything in the room has been replaced except the tile in the entry and the bathroom, which doesn’t match the new decor the best. The existing tile was left and is good shape, but the grout lines are dark in a lot of spots compared to the edges, making it look old and not as nice as the rest of the room. I would suggest getting something to really scrub the grout lines to lighten them up and make them look newer and not so old.

Location, close to freeway No, bathrooms on first floor. They tried to upcharge me on a suite. I specifically asked to be on 2nd floor, and the woman said ok, we can do that. But when I showed up, they had me on the fourth floor in a suite. I got her to switch me to a cheaper room on the second floor luckily

The chef needs to try the breakfast. Neither one of us liked the breakfast.

Great place
-
The place is in the final phase of what looks to be a complete refresh. Unfortunately we were locked out of our room for about an hour and had serious personal embarrassment because of which. The staff were kind empathetic and professional with their reaction. I would have rated the experience a zero but what the staff did after a mechanical error made the experience great. The breakfast attendant should be the ambassador for Hampton ins everywhere. True customer service from the heart.

Nice and quiet place to stay. They are currently renovating but that did not affect our stay in anyway. It’s definitely a better place to stay than the holiday inn down the road. I would say the best place in Evanston for sure!
