Ruby Bea Hotel Florence

Staff was very friendly and pleasant to interact with. The bar area near the entrance is welcoming and a nice place to chill. Rooms were simple but clean and elegant. The location is near the edge of the historic center and has acces to tram and bus stations. City center is about 15-20 minutes of walking away. I believe the location made it better value for the money if you're willing to walk a little extra. Hotel area was also less crowded than the city center. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and i would recommend it particularly if you plan to kill some time, chill with friends or just avoid the heat. We would have liked to have a mini fridge, dispensable shoes and mosquito nets.

It’s difficult to see television from the bed so TV should be higher.

We did not eat breakfast at the hotel. The room needed a refrigerator and coffee machine. The balcony had a wall that obstructed the beautiful view.

Friendly staff. Decent location. Good air conditioning in the room This hotel chain's marketing slogan is "Lean Luxury." What this means is that you don't get a refrigerator, hot water kettle/coffee machine, or iron + ironing board in your room. These are customary and expected in 99% of hotel rooms these days - especially for the price of this property! Instead, I had to leave the room to access a separate amenities room (on the other side of the hotel) simply to get a hot cup of water and iron my clothes. The iron was secured to the amenities room wall so you couldn't take it away. Not only that, but there were multiple hallway doors that you have to go through, which require your room key-card to gain access through. And the key-card rarely worked. So I would be locked out of my room and have to go to the front desk a half-dozen times to get a new key. Overall, definitely a letdown.

What I liked most about the property was the beautiful room, which exceeded my expectations and looked even better than in the photos. The hotel had a great atmosphere, especially the terrace, perfect for relaxing. The staff were the highlight—especially Glinda and Ida—who were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, making the stay truly memorable. Overall, the excellent facilities, comfortable room, great terrace, and outstanding staff made this one of the best hotel stays I’ve had. Beautiful room, amazing atmosphere, and a great terrace. The speakers in the room and guest guitar were a unique touch. The soundproof room was fantastic. Most importantly, the staff, especially Glinda and Ida, were exceptional and made our stay unforgettable.

The check-in process took a bit of time as we had to fill in guest information one by one. The room itself was nice, but perhaps some color, as opposed to white walls and white finishes, would be homier. The lobby/common areas had great color and artwork, and the rooms would benefit from a more colorful look like that.
