Set on the calm shores of Lake Geneva, this full-service iconic resort features the full-service AVANI Spa and a marina with boat rentals. Free WiFi access and a choice of dining options are also available. A balcony or patio offers views from each lakehouse-styled room of The Abbey Resort. A flat-screen TV, coffee maker and fridge are also included. The Abbey Resort offers a variety of dining options. Overlooking the harbor, 240° West serves steaks, seafood and small plates with complimenting wine pairings. The Waterfront serves appetizers, sandwiches and BBQ along with a variety of beer and cocktails. Café Latte, Bar West and the Gazebo Grill are also open for dining. Our room was nice, but had a bit of a burning smell in it. Our brunch was great at 240 west, Andrea our server was amazing and so much fun. Parking lot doesn’t seem large enough for all the guests, and our lot had a tree with a gigantic bees nest and there were swarms of bees all over the cars near it.

Carpets worn and unclean Heating/ac unit grills full of dust and debris Front of vanity covered in easily wiped off dust No information given about WiFi or any kind of complimentary breakfast options Room was not ready at check in time Sink was cracked Tape left on the door above the peephole Buildings are not clearly marked and it was very difficult to find out which door or building or parking lot you should be using for access to your room. This resort has gone downhill BIG time. They keep the outside lawns and gardens up nicely. But the interior and staff had a lot to be desired.

The front desk staff didn’t greet anyone arriving just waited for the guests to walk up to them at the counter even though we weren’t sure who was next and who was available to check in with.

Outdoor pools were NOT heated. And the bathroom shower did not have enough water pressure. We tried calling the front desk several times during the week and they rarely answered. This will be our last time at this place.

Comfortable beds and plenty to do. Walking distance to Fontana beach and 3 pools on site.

We loved our stay at the Abbey Resort. The grounds are very pretty and well maintained. The lobby, room and amenities are gorgeous. The best part is that it’s just across from the lake and lake shore path. We enjoyed many walks on this path. The peacefulness of this area was exactly what we needed! The staff are friendly and helpful. We did not eat at the restaurants but had our coffee and a croissant in the morning. We can’t wait to go back!

Our stay was peaceful with wonderful guests and a helpful staff. We enjoyed the ambience and professionalism of the Avani staff. We ate several meals on site and loved every morsel.
