This experience went above and beyond our expectations. The hotel is beautifully appointed, the spa is divine and impeccably clean, the staff is wonderful and the service is unparalleled. We enjoyed some of the best meals of our trip here, with immense kudos to the chef and kitchen staff. This family run spa resort feels luxurious and personal, with the family members knowing you by name and welcoming at every turn. And the location speaks for itself, one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. We will absolutely be returning for a future visit. Absolutely nothing. Everything is beyond incredible.

Location is perfect. The hotel is nice. Dinner is delicious and right amount (not too much). Although breakfast variety for 7-10 days stay may be considered slightly limited, for shorter stays it's perfect. Personal is extremely helpful and easy to reach Spa is a bit smaller than expected (not so comfortable if many people). No iron and electric tea pot/coffee machine in the room, however tee/coffee can be got in the spa in carton cups.

Everything was perfect! Delicious food for breakfast and dinner, very (very) nice staff members. The room was big, clean and with very nice views. The spa bigger and nicer than expected. And we had a great massage. We will definitely go back and we recommend it 100%! There’s really nothing we can complain about.

The staff was always very helpful and service oriented. The facilities were top notch and clean. The food quality and taste was also impressive, we ate really well. Rooms are also pretty comfortable and big, nothing is missing. Very few improvement points, maybe the breakfast could be improved with a coffee machine. Faster than ordering coffee every time to the waiter. Besides that nothing was missing, the hotel really did all to make us feel like home.

Great food, good afternoon snack service, nice buildings, nice spa very good treatments, very good German Sommelier. Good inside free parking. Nice village in a great valley. Some of the service staff did not understand German language too much. Towel management is fully out of bounds; it took me two days to get my SPA towels picked up from my room and after a call I understood that I could only pick up new ones at the reception; no towels at the SPA area. At the reception they told me that they are going to introduce a towel credit card (!). Reception not open since the family will have lunch or dinner. Check in my room with 2 cleaning ladies and another guest still in the room (at that in times of the pandemic). Berg Suites offer a large room with a fully equipped kitchen (it is more an appartement) with nothing in the minibar and no coffee machine. In a letter I was informed that all guests need to pay a fee for increased energy costs (is that legal); they did not charge it to me. Many things in the hotel are not allowed and I we felt not really welcome at the end. Some persons of the managing family are just not seeing the guest and their needs but more their economical interests. SPA will be too small if fully booked. We decided to ignore the family and enjoy our stay in a lovely setting.

This is the second time we've stayed at Das Schafer and we love it here! The staff (family-run, and it shows) are great, the rooms are spacious, modern, scrupulously clean have a great views of the mountains opposite. The food is fantastic, and the spa is fabulous. We plan to keep coming back!
