The location is close to the falls, and the staff did assist with carrying one of our bags up the stairs upon our late-night arrival. The property is completely misrepresented on Booking.com. We paid a premium for a "Suite with Balcony," but there is no balcony at all, the space has been completely enclosed and built closed as a room extension. This is highly misleading. Furthermore, the room was unacceptably dirty, upon arrival - and we immediately informed the owner/amangement. There was thick grey dust all over the open cupboards which ruined our unpacked clothes, a moldy soap bar under the sink, and an open, used packet of shampoo left in the bathroom. The mini-fridge was overstocked with water to the point that we had to request items be removed just to fit necessary medical supplies, and there was no pricelist or information provided about whether items were complimentary. Amenities like the advertised desk and iron were entirely missing, the TV had no remote, the air conditioning was old and barely functioning, and the power tripped multiple times during our first night. Breakfast and Wi-Fi instructions were non-existent in the room (very little English is spoken - and English isn't our first language either - but one at least tries), forcing us to constantly ask for basic information. While the manager acknowledged the lack of cleanliness on WhatsApp and mentioned firing the cleaning staff, nothing was really done to make our stay better.

The address doesn’t work on Waze. It takes you somewhere else.

Nice comfortable property with a very kind owner and parrot :)
-
Nice place and host. Very good breakfast. A bit outside the center but nothing disturbing.
-
Nicely decorated, nice large unit, attractive pool, friendly, helpful staff, good A/C. Problem with regulating shower temperature, but we would stay there again.

A wonderful place to stay with a very helpful staff. We were able to hire Mr. Bark Jr to take us to view the Itaipu Dam and cross the border into Argentina. He made the trip so easy and was able to answer all our questions. Thanks to all for a very nice stay.

I liked that... it wasn't too far from the airport and attractions via vehicle, the front gate required a fob to enter, they had bottled beverages for purchase via an honor system, each room had its own key, the dogs were friendly, and a continental breakfast was included. I did not like that... the host initially seemed unpleased that we did not know how to understand or speak Portuguese or Spanish, they organized our room/stuff while we were away, the shower did not have water pressure, the pool was semi-dirty, and the home is shared with the host family or owners during our stay. The host family or owners were loud at night, were present during the day but did not interact, and utilized things and areas of the property that we were unsure if we were allowed to utilize or access due to lack of communication and signage.

We used this as a home base to explore the area...and unless you are staying inside the park, it really doesn't matter where you stay as you will have to drive to get to the park, to Itaipu, to Paraguay and to Argentina. The pousada was very comfortable and safe, the food was excellent and the staff was EXCEPTIONAL. 5 minutes by car to all kinds of restaurants, and totally quiet at night for a great night's sleep. Highly recommend. Traveling...Americans and Brazilians in our group of 4--and everyone was VERY happy with the stay. No complaints at all.

We were not expecting much after booking, especially considering the low price we paid. However, we were positively surprised once we entered our enormous room, which was kept very clean at all times. The bathroom was very big too. Our minibar contained several bottles of cold alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for a fair price. Communication was quick and efficient at all times (mostly via WhatsApp). The pool area was nice. We also liked the location, as the neighborhood is safe and only 20 min away (by car) from the National Park of Iguaçu (brazilian side) and the border to Argentina. Breakfast was kept quite simple. Considering the reviews we read before we were a bit dissapointed. Still, it offered all the basic foods and drinks you would expect.

The staff were among the nicest hotel staff we have ever met. It felt very much like home.

Beautiful clean and everything you need. Rooms are huge with an amazing balcony. The family who runs it are so kind and lovely! Breakfast is all homemade and very yummy!Would absolutely stay again. This place is a hidden gem instead of all the touristy stuff in the area. Thank you for an absolutely perfect stay. It was perfect

The property is in a perfect location for visiting the falls and getting into downtown. The hosts are incredibly friendly and accommodating and the facilities are very nice and clean.

Very friendly and hospitable workers and hostess. Good service At our request, the staff got up early in the morning and prepared breakfast for us an hour earlier than breakfast time 2 days in a row, because we left early, very grateful to them for this. The house is clean, cozy, there is a swimming pool, upon request they will provide you with everything. Excellent courtyard and garden for relaxation. There is a parrot and a dog Van Gogh. 7 minutes by walk to the supermarket. The hostess responded very quickly to requests, gave useful recommendations. We liked it. We lived in the presidential suite, a spacious room and a bath, it is very convenient that you can lie down away from the air conditioner. Good price for beverage . We liked it and recommended it.. For such a price, a very good offer

Absolutely amazing! I never met the staff so nice and friendly. The owner is super sweet and her sister who takes care of the breakfast is great as well. We felt like at home, very nice location in a safe neighborhood, perfect hidden gem after all day in the water falls. At the corner there is a padaria, where you can get good snacks and baked goodies during the day. Nothing I could think of.

All the workers there are incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room had A which was nice for the warm humid nights. The pousada has a very peaceful feel to it and is a good place to vibe. They also make the best caipirinhas I ever had in my life! Our room had a jacuzzi tub with a mirror over the top ? but it was out of order during our stay, so that was a bummer. They are getting it fixed soon though.

Outstanding breakfast. Fresh fruits, some homemade pastry items. Good coffee and great tea and juice choices. Property itself feels very secure, as well as the neighborhood. There’s a very outstanding Japanese restaurant within easy walking distance. As many guests are younger adventurers, we felt like we had all the common areas to ourselves when we took time out to relax at the Pousada during the day. There’s a lovely outdoor pool and bar. Staff goes above and beyond for their guests. We Getting hot water out of our shower was tricky. We stayed in the ground floor ‘handicapped’ room. The hosts told us they will be redoing the bathroom in that unit. Too bad we came a little before the renovation but now we will be motivated to return!

Very clean, good value for the money. Nice people. Very friendly lady in the kitchen even though we couldn’t understand each other. No water pressure in the shower and just luke warm water. No soap other than hand soap in the bathroom. The TV only had about 5 channels and no ability to stream.

This was an unexpected delight. We had the Presidential Suite - spacious with an enormous bathroom and a balcony (with hammock) overlooking the pool. The AC and comfortable king bed gave us the first good night’s sleep in days. Also, breakfast was great with fresh fruit, cereal, baked goods, ham and cheese, omelette .. and good coffee.
