The property was clean and great to stay at, but also really strange. The address was for the check in desk, but was for an entirely different location across a waterway. The room was clean, but there were also really strange features. There was an ice bucket, and a sign for an ice machine, but no actual ice machine. When I asked a staff member, they said we would need to drive to another location near the check in desk to get ice. The table in the room had a broken leg so wasn't terribly functional. So it was clean and worked great as a place to stay, but was just odd all around.

The lipstick that was put on the pig has worn off, bathroom had mold in the shower and would have been easily cleaned, which I did it after my shower, wifi worked when you stood by the room door otherwise non-existant, if it wasn't $200 a night and a Best Western I wouldn't have had such expectations. Not asking for a Marriott, just offer a clean plain room . Air conditioner and the bright green light on the ceiling were also unnecessary distractions.

The hotel is pet friendly which means pets are allowed in every room. Having never encountered this before, we were unable to stay because of our allergy sensitivity. The employee at our check in was very understanding and helpful however we were hoping for a refund of all or part of our stay due to the medical nature of the issue. When calling the next morning to speak with the manager, I was assisted by Nicole who was incredibly rude and insensitive to the situation stating “the computer dictates how payments are taken” clearly she would benefit from hospitality training between what she said and the tone in which she used. I should think Best Western would want their employees to think for themselves in sensitive situations rather than depend on technology. I would not recommend this hotel when there are so many others available in the area.

Since I arrived late and was tired, I planned to relax in the room and watch some TV. Unfortunately, the TV options were pretty limited—mostly QVC and commercials. Obviously, no one comes to Maine to sit around and watch TV, but after a long day, it would have been nice to have a few more options. Overall, though, this was a perfectly adequate place for a one-night stay. The bed was comfortable, the price was affordable, and the location worked well for where I was headed.

The location The shower wasn’t clean, it had mold.
-
It was close to my areas of interest. The price was very reasonable. The room was clean Dog’s poop at the entrance for more than an hour and on the sorrunding areas a lot of them
-
Bed bugs or fleas in the bedding I was overcharged $160
-
Bed lumpy Don't go there. Better to sleep in your car Would have requested refund had not paid through Expedia
-
Nothing Filthy and old-the room felt WET
-
Easy access from the road. No TV remote. could use the cable box by using buttons on bottom of tv. "river view" blocked by trees. mould on bathroom ceiling. shower rail coming off.

We could not stay at the property because of a very strong mold smell in the room and even though they said they would accommodate the change to two queen beds, they could not. I was traveling with my 17 year old son and two beds were necessary. They still have not refunded the cost of the stay, I had to contest the charge with my bank. Staff is rude. Property needs updating badly.

When I arrived at the hotel, I was told that check-in was at a different building. After going there, I was then informed that my actual room was another one mile away. I had to reload all of our luggage into my car and drive to another address just to get to our room. Unfortunately, the room itself was also disappointing. The bathtub was very dirty, and the floor had not been properly cleaned and was sticky. Overall, this was a very frustrating and unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this hotel to families, especially those traveling with kids. When I asked for an extra comforter, instead of having someone bring it to my room, I was told to find the maintenance room myself, where the door would be open, and take the comforter. This was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Guests should not be expected to search for a maintenance room and retrieve their own bedding. Overall, this hotel provided a very poor experience, and I would not recommend it, especially for families with children.

The pool was nice but the liner is ripped and never any towels. My kids didnt let that bother them. The older man that checked us in was nice and friendly Where to start. No outside doors locked. The maid never gave us washcloths on the three days that we were there didn’t empty our trash the first two days and the only way we got our living room trash emptied. Was we put it in the middle of the hallway the bathroom trash never got emptied. She never left us coffee or coffee supplies and three days in a row we had to go and get our keys redone because after we’re getting home from a long day of sightseeing and traveling, we couldn’t get into our rooms not one time. Also your pricing was ridiculous. Same room rooms next-door to each other two totally different prices. Unacceptable. Will never use Booking.com again. In the landscaping between the parking lot and the pool is not only deplorable. It’s downright dangerous so bad. I cannot believe you all have allowed this to happen.

The staff was lovely. The room was comfortable and good for the cost considering we were in Maine in August. Location is convenient
