Surikamitei Ohtori

This was one of the best ryokans I've been to. It was very large and clean and our room was beautiful with very comfortable futons. My friend and I loved the onsen and sauna room, as well as the delicious breakfast. I also love how you are able to buy various gifts from the in house store, such as snacks and drinks, as well as big peaches! The izakaya in house as well had very delicious food. We liked the sausages! I wish there was more onsen options (only includes 1 indoor and 1 outdoor with 1 small cold onsen). But the onsen that was there felt incredibly relaxing. I wish we had more time as well, especially at the bar counter.

Bath was great . Breakfast had a good spread and good quality. Location very good - handy to have a car.

We liked everything about this resort. The outdoor onsen was excellent. The location is in bit remote but we liked that. The only regret was that we didn't stay longer.

The onsen was nice, clean and very enjoyable. The room was spacious, very comfortable, clean and bright. We also had our own balcony 7-1 on the diagonal.corner was convenient . 15 to 20 minute walk to local eateries for dinner. Very quite town and felt very safe walking around at night. Very nice breakfast with a large assortment of dishes and vegetables (veg and vegan) More choice in the hotel restaurant for dinner

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Rooms were clean and nice. Bedding was comfortable. Onsen was awesome. Had a great dinner at the pub. Food was delicious and service staff was very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Nothing.

I love the Japanese style room, it was very spacious and comfortable and bright. The futon was laid out every night while I was having dinner, and packed away during the morning cleaning. Dinner was excellent, the hot spring baths relaxing. The property is very well set up, very well looked after, cleaned, and very well maintained, making it very comfortable

One of the famous hot spring towns, Iizaka in Fukushima. This Japanese Ryokan, Otori has great hot spring, wonderful staff(some speaks English), delicious meals. The facility is very modern, confortable and clean. We enjoyed local vegetables, seafood and meat. It is located about 10 minutes away by car from the nearest station, but they have a shuttle bus service. You would have to use the shuttle bus from the ryokan to go to downtown area. There is a convenience store nearby or a restaurant inside the ryokan for lunch.

Excellent fresh local selections. Very nice presentation and staff was very helpful.

The room was not a traditional tatami room with shikibutons. Instead they had regular beds. Onsens were really nice but the view is not as good as other onsens we have been to. Also they did not have the cold dipping pools.
