I surprised by family with this hotel and they absolutely LOVED it. Our room was bigger than expected. It was very clean and quiet. There was a lot to look at and do. My kids loved the pool and the secret room. We ate at the restaurant and shopped at both gift shops. The food was delicious. It was fun to walk around and explore. The artwork on the walls are absolutely gorgeous. The old elevator was fun as well. We all had a great time and didn't want to leave. We will definitely be staying there again.

Love El Rancho! Clean, comfy and simple. Perfect stop on the way to and from Texas.

A couple of niggles: the gym was closed due to flooding, and there was a strange smell in our room which we eventually worked out was coming from the bathroom drains. We mentioned this at checkout, but the staff didn’t seem overly interested. They’re also very strict on check-in time — we arrived about 20 minutes early and couldn’t check in. Checkout was a little confusing too, with two people at reception but only one actually dealing with guests. Overall, though, we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the hotel’s quirky character.

The property and staff were great they even had a security guard but keep in mind this is kind of a really sketchy area of town. I would leave no valuables in the vehicle. There were a large number of vagrants

A nice and interesting place to stay. The inside has lots of history and charm. Rooms can be small but have been nicely remodeled. The property is filled with memorabilia from old western movies, area history and original Indian art painted in the hallways. Has a good bar, a restaurant and gift shops.

Great place. Unique and fun. Not like ant other. Staff is the best. They care. Great value for the type of hotel. Love the history. Definitely will stay again.

This is my 10th road trip from LA to Michigan and I always stay at this hotel as I love the accommodations and being film buff I love the movie history !

The room was tastefully decorated and adequate. But TV unable to use. Staff could not fix problem. Noise from street with loud cars and motorcycles till 1am. Kept me and my dogs awake. Sounded like a racetrack. Gift shop nice but pricey. Food very good.

Tiny bathroom very low water pressure. Sub standard air conditioning. Restaurant mediocre.
