Holiday Inn Club Vacations Galveston Seaside Resort by IHG

Room was spacious and overall nice for our family of 5. Property grounds could use some serious tlc, though. Check in was not smooth and was really frustrating. Our plans had changed and we called ahead to let the hotel know we wanted to keep our reservation 'as is' and that we would just be arriving a day later. They said they understood and would make a note on our reservation, though when we arrived our family had been marked as a "no show" and our room had been given to another group. Eventually was made right, but was not an amazing experience.

Great place to stay!

The unit 50 #104 had a kitchen faucet in need of repair due to difficulty turning off the water. Main bedroom shower floor could be cleaned better-grout lines black in places. Overhead light in living room needs to be replaced-burned out. Just a general fresh up in paint. Otherwise, the unit was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

Great stay but the elevators were very dirty. The rooms were nice except I wish the tvs allied you stream from you phone or had other platforms besides cable

The place was really nice and clean , bed sheets smelled clean and staff was really nice and helpful, will definitely recommend

The hotel is about 20 minutes from all the seawall attractions. We really enjoyed the room, the two bedroom villa with two baths was perfect! We had an issue with the AC and it was promptly fixed and cooling perfectly. My big disappointment was we did not have access to the infinity pool that was in all the photos. It was only available to guests staying in one particular building.

Concern: The description for this location was misleading on Expedia. The pool advertised was across the street and was and upcharge. The restaurant was across the street as well, beach access was across the street to be safe to you had to drive or cross a double lane. The resort is split it two across the street from each other one is located on the beach and the other not

Second, you should know that the beautiful pool advertised on the site is not one that you have access to. That is only for their preferred guests, who are staying in their location across the street. Now, there is a pool that is open until 10; and it is fine. It is a normal hotel pool. There’s nothing wrong, and nothing exciting, about it. Third, and maybe you already know and are better prepared, but the mosquitoes are AWFUL! I must have gotten bit 15+ times just sitting at the pool in the evening. I’m not sure that the farm next to the pool helped the cause of not getting bit, but my word, they were relentless. Fourth, there are no elevators at the villas, so just be prepared to carry your luggage. The structure is on stilts, it makes sense that there aren’t elevators; but it’s nice to know that ahead of time to manage expectations. All of that being said, the rooms are a nice size and have most of the amenities that you would want - we did run out of body wash in both bathrooms and they brought mini bar soaps. The beach access is from the location across the street. Drive there.

This was our third time to stay at the Holiday Club Vacation Seaside Galveston. We really enjoy the two bedroom arrangement. It gives plenty of room for my family of five. Highly recommend this location through October.

Our overall stay was amazing! Having the beach right there, pool available, and villa all so close was perfect for our family of 6. Our check-in process wasn’t the best. We had bags of trash outside our room and our door was open - as if they were currently cleaning. But no one was in the room or nearby. The trash bags had ripped, either from someone rolling over them or an animal - so the whole stay there was food remains (chicken bones and dried food) outside our door. The resort did give us a $50 credit to use, which was a nice gesture! The rooms were really nice, our curtains had stains but it wasn’t a huge deal. Like I said, overall amazing stay. Few minor things, but we’d definitely return!

The view was beautiful seeing the ocean from the balcony. We enjoyed sitting out there in the evenings.

Was bombarded with a huge sales pitch that was ridiculous and time consuming at time of checkin. Charged three additional fees that amounts to ~ $200. Very disappointed!

There is no swimming pool

Great location, a bit down from Galveston.

The signature villa was great for our little family trip! Spacious and comfortable, The huge plus was the walking distance to the beach! The infinity pool is also super nice. We'll definitely be coming back!

Beds were noisy, air-conditioning worked ok. The bathtubs were not cleaned and still had sand in them. The elevators need a look at to, they were missing the floor and started to drop quit unexpectedly.

Beautiful property, we always come back to this spot...its a gem!!!

Property was nice , the only thing I can say negative was that the pictures promoting the property we very different for where we stayed . You can only access the beautiful infinity pool if you rent a room in the signature section across the street . I would a say making that more clear would be helpful.
