It was ok. They aggressively tried to get you to buy into a timeshare though.

This property was materially misrepresented during the booking process. The primary reason I selected this property was the prominently featured infinity-edge pool displayed throughout the property's listing on both the corporate platform and through Expedia. The photographs and marketing material strongly suggested that this pool was an amenity available to guests staying at the resort. However, upon contacting the front desk after booking and upon arrival, I was informed that the two-bedroom villa I reserved is located on the opposite side of the highway and does not provide access to the advertised pool. This information was not clearly disclosed during the booking process. Had I known that guests in the villa accommodations would not have access to the featured pool, I would not have booked this property. When I raised my concerns at check-in, I was informed that no alternative accommodations were available that would provide access to the advertised pool, along with safe walking distance to the beach and infinity edge pool. The first unit assigned to us had a strong urine odor, creating an unacceptable and unsanitary environment. Monica at the front desk was professional and helpful in relocating us to another unit, and I appreciate her efforts. However, the replacementunit still had a noticeable urine odor on a living room chair and had clearly not been properly cleaned. The floors were dirty, and there was visible black and pink mold present in the showers.

Very very disappointed. When I booked the room thru Expedia the pics showed the building is on the beach, breakfast included, beautiful pool, etc. When we got there we found out there are two properties across the street from each other & were told "the Presidential suites" are on the property ACROSS the street from the beach. Then we found out breakfast NOT included (not even a continental breakfast). We could not use the pool or the beach access at the property that was actually on the beach either. When we complained about the misleading info on Expedia, they said they have tried to get Expedia to "update" their website but Expedia hadn't done so. Regardless, Holiday Inn should honor what the customers think they book and not blame it on Expedia. We paid $1100 for 2 nights without ANY perks whatsoever. Talk about a waste of money. They did try to make it up to us by giving us a $200 gift card or $180 in "virtual cash" but we would have to attend an hour & a half "presentation". We said NO WAY because we have done that one time at a different hotel chain & it ended up being an hour & a half presentation followed by an hour & a half of them trying to bully you into buying a timeshare. So, needless to say, I will never use Holiday Inn Resorts again.

However, there were a few disappointing issues. The floors were not clean when we arrived. My 8-month-old niece was crawling around, and within minutes her hands, feet, and knees were black from the dirt on the floor. We called the front desk and were told someone would come clean them, but no one arrived that evening. The following morning, management quickly corrected the issue by sending housekeeping to thoroughly clean the floors. They also apologized for the inconvenience and provided us with a credit to use at the on-site market, which we truly appreciated. Their efforts to make things right did not go unnoticed. Another disappointment was that the listing photos were misleading. One of the main reasons we booked was because the pictures made it appear that the property had an infinity pool. After arriving, we found out the infinity pool actually belongs to the resort across the street and is not available to guests staying here. The photos should more clearly distinguish which amenities belong to this property. Despite these issues, we had a great trip and appreciated the staff’s willingness to resolve the housekeeping concern. I hope the listing is updated to better reflect the property’s actual amenities so future guests know exactly what to expect.

Ok . The microwave wasn’t sit correctly due to measurement errors but workable . Very spacious we felt like a home away from home . We were in the signature villas which is ocean front property . One of the elevators wasn’t working but it was doable using the stairs . Very close to the beach and easy access . Beach very quiet . We didn’t have a chance to explore the pool due to pool being fix after tropical storm Arthur but looking forward to possibly stay there in the future .

Quit environment, not over crowded, roomie, nice sized kitchen in signature suits, all appliances worked as expected. Infinity pool was unavailable for 3 out of the 4 days we were there due to maintenance issues, arm bands used to access didn’t work on activity center doors, land in suite didn’t work the whole time of visit. I would stay there again even though it wasn’t a perfect time.

Though the staff responded when questions were asked concerning the power outage, it would have been nice if they sent out a message to their guests informing and updating about the issue. Overall, our visit was still memorable due to thebeach, spending time with family and flexible boys who are easy going and didn’t complain when we were without power. I’m not sure if this is something that happens often, as this was our first visit to this location, but we’ll have to reconsider in the future where we lodge when visiting Galveston in the future.

Everything was nice just as expected. Great activities for the kids on site. Pool was nice, not too deep for the kids. Loved the villa. Very spacious.

The hotel is clean, and the location is close to Galveston attractions. The amenities were lacking and most activities were only available during a short window. No elevators made it challenging to carry luggage.

Everything was amazing the only thing was that there were no elevators to get to the different floors. Staying in the third floor had an amazing view but the seven stair cases we had to walk up and down was no joke. But over all besides that the place was clean well maintained and they even had great outdoor games for the family .

Overall, the hotel is great. We had a little hiccup the first night when pulling out the sofa bed - We discovered that the underside of the sofa bed hadn’t been cleaned in a while. There was a ton of crumbs and little critter carcasses on the mattress. We also discovered a few dead tiny roaches on one of the mattresses in one bedroom. The hotel staff were super kind, however, and did come and sanitize the next day. The rest of our stay went off without a hitch - And I would definitely stay here again, just double triple check your mattresses.

2- THE POOL WAS TERRIBLY DIRTY 3- If you need bed sheets you will have to visit Front Desk at least 3 times

Clean property and staff was great. Infinity pool is great but had to pay for a Cabana since we stayed at the Villas across the street…. Only down side.
