Marinha Hôtel

The location was solid-- 4min from the RER B, downhill, so easy to arrive from the airport. Wifi was fast, place was clean. The beds are adorable, they have these cute little private nooks, almost capsule vibes, that gave me privacy, with a thick curtain that blocked light. It's the only hostel room in the hotel, so it has a quiet and friendly vibe-- 6 beds. The kitchen is equipped with dishes + utensils + pot, but no pan. Ceiling Height - this is a renovated attic, and I think I bumped my head 3x an hour. Every morning as I went to the bathroom. I'm just 5'3" but I imagine if you were any taller this would be a quite uncomfy stay. Food - Also, my food (tortillas and cheese, not something another guest would've reasonably taken) was likely tossed by housekeeping despite being in a neat corner, likely because there were some spoiled veggies on the shelf above? I wish there was a way to label food to avoid this, because the hostel doesn't otherwise take any responsibility. Check-in - it is entirely remote check in, and I'm appreciative they accommodated a last minute day-of reservation, but it was a bit disconcerting to arrive to a locked door and need to discuss with the property only on booking.com and eventually email. It was missing this feeling of "hospitality" I usually get from hostels / hotels, I felt somewhat alone, maybe like an airbnb with self-check in.

The room was about twice the size of the hotel I was in the night before and it had air-conditioning and it even had a little kitchen area. There aren’t a lot of restaurants or places to walk to near the hotel with the Metro station is close and you just have to go one stop to get to things to do. I didn’t realize that it is not a staffed hotel when I made the booking, but that could’ve just been my French. When I called the phone number, though the lady who runs the place was very accommodating and explained to me how it works. It’s a steep walk from the metro station to the hotel but other than that the hotel was great.

Rer was 10mn walk but uphill I reserve it because it was an hotel not an apartment but unfortunately it was neither this nor that !! There was nobody to open for us the door when we arrived from the airport !! No lobby, no one to talk or to contact when u need something and if it was apartment there is nothing , not even the basics cup, plate , spoon...... and the bed was to small for 2 !!

Staff were really really lovely and the bed was comfy The walls were dirty and the kitchen had no utensils, plates, or pans only a pair of jeans in the cupboard...

Good communication with owner. Of note, no staff was on premises, but there was a very efficient system to get the room key.

The owner are really nice Unfortunately the hotel isn’t quite what we expected. We wanted to let our luggage before 4pm and it’s impossible to get in before. There is no one there, you access there with a code that you don’t get before 4pm. The check in process is super complicated. The room needs restoration. The bathroom had pubic hair. The hotel walls are so thin you can hear everyone. There were no breakfast (there is nobody there in until 4pm!) The only nice thing was the lady at the counter after 4.

Appreciated the hospitality and helpfulness. Grateful for the privacy (I don't need 24/7 room service). I was concerned about the wasp nest on the upper part of the window. I was very cautious opening it because I didn't want it to break.

Simple and basic but clean and cozy. A bit too expensive

The owners were kind and homey. However they only spoke French and Portuguese so it was a bit difficult, but they tried their best to help me. The bar is good. Only provide 1 set of toiletries regardless of whether you are there for 1 day or 30 days. And they charge a lot for another set.

A bit pricey, but relevant for Paris. There are very few working shops and restaurants in the location, on Sunday it became a problem)

Nothing, we checked in and 10 minutes later we left. The room wasnt up to standards.There were no towels for a shower,the windows was open and scaffold were outside of the windows with a sign that said danger. The room looked like a low budget hood motel in a not so good area. We felt very unsafe. Paid for the room. and took the loss, by leaving safety first. Not to mention no o e spoke English. Even the Taxi driver said it was a not good area. Pictures on-line is misleading, don't look nothing like that. the surrounding neighborhood and the room conditions

Good size room. Staff very friendly. Expensive for facilities. Kitchen facilities totally empty. No cutlery, cups, and no coffee, tea or milk. First hotel I have stayed in with no tea and coffee facilities in the room. No explanation as to how to get in the hotel. I had to call from outside to get someone to let me in the locked door. Not very inviting. As I had said when I planned to check in a simple message with a code for the key pad might have helped. Maybe a camera in reception overlooking the entrance?
