this hotel was perfection, down to every detail. i haven’t been in a hotel that i liked more than this one.

Everything about this stay was perfect. Luxurious rooms - the bath butler service was a lovely surprise! The entire team were lovely, gave great recommendations on things to do and where to eat. Breakfast was next level - the only down side was there wasn't room for lunch!

Located centrally in the heart of Georgetown, walkable to a lot places of interest, cafe and local coffeeshop. Impeccable service display by 88 Armenian from the moment we step in. The team is very knowledgable to share travel tips on both the touristy and very local tips for discerning guest who wish to follow local footsteps. Thank to Amber & team for taking care of us even though it was a short stay. But the exemplary service left a deep lasting impression from recommending breakfast timing, the small chats, helping with the luggage and walk with us to the vehicle to sent us off. The service standard is really on par with big hotel group such as Raffles, Four Season, Capella and more. Once again thank you Amber & team for the hospitality. Will be back to Armenian during future visit! ? Light sleeper do take note that it is located between two mosque that will conduct Fajr Adhan daily. Keep an ear plug handy if required.

88 Armenian was our favorite hotel during our 3-week vacation thanks to the incredible hospitality. The rooms were clean, modern, and spacious, and KC was especially helpful with local recommendations. We loved the thoughtful turndown service, the bath butler experience, and the delicious breakfasts with Peranakan and local dishes. Aesop bath products were a lovely touch. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Georgetown, within walking distance to shops, restaurants, hawker stalls, and street art. A wonderful boutique hotel experience — highly recommended!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at 88 Armenian Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptional — genuinely warm, attentive, and always going out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. A special thank you to KC and Amber, who truly stood out for their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care. They made us feel so welcome, and the rest of the team were just as fantastic — friendly, thoughtful, and always happy to help. Breakfast was amazing, with great quality and variety, and the complimentary snacks and drinks in the fridge were such a thoughtful and generous touch. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the Revere Suite, which was spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable — a real treat. The hotel offers excellent value for money and is perfectly located right in the heart of the action. Everything is within easy walking distance, making it incredibly convenient to explore the area. An outstanding stay made even better by an incredible team. Highly recommended, and we would absolutely stay here again. Nothing it was perfect.

Everything about this property is amazing. The room was nice and cool and airy. It smelled great all the time. The service was impeccable. Just an fantastic property. The hangers were not functional. They looked great but were positively ridiculous.

Highly recommend this perfect little gem in the heart of Georgetown. Location was amazing, extremely convenient to walk to all the sightseeing spots in the city. Hospitality here was unmatched. All the staff were so sweet, and they all went above and beyond in recommending us the best restaurants and attractions to visit. Included breakfast was absolutely delicious with a rotating menu (Western / Nyonya / Dim Sum). And finally the room itself - so clean and modern and so much care put into the amenities. The bath butler service was a dream! This hotel was the highlight of our stay in Malaysia and we would definitely stay again.

Prime Yet Peaceful Location: Nestled among hip coffee shops and trendy restaurants, the hotel enjoys a quiet setting just off the main tourist paths. While parking can be challenging, the staff go above and beyond to assist guests. Thoughtful Touches: Enjoyed daily complimentary snacks, a luxurious bath butler service with specialty tea, and an unexpected free upgrade to a spacious loft-style room. Exceptional Breakfasts: Rotating set menus featuring Chinese, Nyonya and other local food varieties were a delicious highlight of each morning. Outstanding Service: Staff provided excellent recommendations, helped with parking logistics, and even suggested personalized city tours and touristy experiences. Futhermore, the staff proactively offered access to a sister property's swimming facilities - we regrettably didn't have time to take advantage, but appreciated the thoughtful gesture during the hottest month in Malaysia. Stylish Design: Beautiful boutique interiors with Aesop toiletries and well-maintained facilities. Minor Drawbacks Bidet Absence: Note - no handheld toilet sprayer Noise Levels: Some hallway noise was noticeable during peak guest movement times - added soundproofing would improve the experience. The noise was not an issue for my party. Parking: Like most heritage properties in Georgetown, parking is scarse and can be frustrating. Although staff were extremely helpful and solved it for the period of our stay.

It embodies the old architectural styles of a previous era which adds to the ambiance. Nothing much to dislike apart from the entrance which is right at the bar.

Each night, they offer a turn-down service that just makes you feel special, and the bath butler service? Absolutely divine. Imagine slipping into a bath tailored just for you, perfect after a day of exploring George Town. After the deeply relaxing bath you can nibble on the snacks provided and enjoy a refreshing pot of iced tea. And if you're visiting during Ramadan, the hotel really shows its thoughtful side. They provided a suhoor service with a hearty, freshly prepared pre-dawn meal that was different every day. These also happened to be some of my favorite meals during my stay. All in all, 88 Armenian isn’t just a place to stay—it’s an experience. With its blend of modern luxury and a nod to local culture, it’s the perfect base for any Penang adventure.

Room was well appointed, with great beds and linen. Bathrooms were spacious and very well planned. The hotel was very quiet and staff was extremely helpful with tips on how the city must be navigated . I wish there was a bit more choice for breakfast .

I like the atmosphere of the hotel. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The famous attractions were nearby from the hotel. This was very convenient for us. The breakfast was very generous with many local tastes. Big bed, Big bathroom and Big TV in a Small Room! The room is smaller than our expectation - not for the kind of money we paid. The bathroom door was not working properly. In fact it is very dangerous. Imagine a person is alone and locked inside the bathroom. There is NO phone in the bathroom OR the room in general. The staff take away the shower salt without letting us know. And he was reluctant to give us more shower gel even though we asked.
