The location of the property is perfect. The staff are very friendly and breakfast was good. The beds were a flimsy mattress on top of a base that was very uncomfortable, and that moved in the night.

Staff was very kind. Very central location. Breakfast was excellent Nothing

Its excellent location, making it easy to explore the city. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast offered a good variety and was a great way to start the day. The room lacked adequate storage, with no decent wardrobe and space for only one suitcase, making it inconvenient for two guests.

No fridge, no view of the city

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Room was quite small but otherwise very comfortable.

Location! The bathroom was a little bit awkward in spacing and the air conditioning needed some maintenance, but access to an open window helped.

Location, friendly staff Parking was a bit hard. I wanted to reserve parking but was told it was first come first serve, yet when I got then, there was a reservation list!

Great location, clean and very comfortable.

Location and staff More towels and 2 pillows per bed please

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Amazing location, central but also great windows so street noise doesn’t affect sleep Nothing

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

    Parking was very tight.

The location couldn’t have been better. Literally across the street from the cathedral, and surrounded by cafes and shops. Train station team just blocks away. Elevator was a strong plus. Rooms are very small, adequate but small. Was there during unseasonal heat wave, A/C not really sufficient but understandable. Walls are thin so be prepared to hear people coming and going if they aren’t quiet and considerate.

location was perfect breakfast was ok , could serve more meat variety. I placed sign two days in a row for no cleaning but they still came when we were gone, and I felt that my privacy was invaded. we also came in a few hours early and was told a room is ready, but we will have to pay extra if you don’t sign up with their hotel apps to be a member to get it for free.

    Little pricey

The location was the best. We were right next door to the church which will have all of the restored altar pieces returned in December of 2026. The watch tower was a full block away and the castle was very close. Some wonderful places to eat and shop that were very close and it has a very good restaurant and bar on the main floor. The breakfast was over the top with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, fruit, juices, coffee , expresso, donuts, pastry, yogurt, wonderful rolls, bread and meats and cheeses. The bed was very comfortable, but the chairs were made out plastic and I like over stuffed chairs for my afternoon napes. The room was a good sizes, the bathroom was a little small and the tub was very deep and getting in and out could be harder for older guest. All in all it was a great value for the money. Maybe one soft overstuffed chair. Maybe a walk-in shower for older guests with some mobility problems. The staff was great. The room was clean and both elevators were large, newer and worked all the time we were there. You would have to be over the top picky to find any thing really wrong with this hotel.

The hotel is located very central in Gent, just a few steps from the Cathedral and a couple of blocks from the Lys River. The area is very walkable and full of restaurants, coffee places and souvenir shops. The room was on the small side for two persons but the main problem we found is not the size (see below). Staff was cordial. The breakfast was limited for it cost! The main problem with our room was the lack of space to accommodate our luggage, cloths, etc. There was an open closet with just enough space to hang a couple of shirts and jeans but not drawers other than a small table/desk to place things on top. The room did not have a safety box to put your valuables so be prepared to walk with your money, passports, etc. with you while in Gent.

Excellent location in the heart of the old town, friendly staff, Good price

  • Engine customer May 2026

Location was great! Staff were not overly friendly at the front desk and the staff person in the bar a few nights were not very attentive.

  • Engine customer May 2026

Breakfast was okay, dinner was limited, but the wait staff was excellent. A little noisy at night.

    Perfect location
