It was a distance to other restaurants etc which needed a walk along a busy road to get to. In saying that, the restaurant at the guest house was adequate..

As a long term traveller, I'm very picky about where I stay but I found Nirmala Guest house practically perfect. At first I stayed in the double room, then extended my stay another 1 week with an upgrade to the bungalow (for the same price if you reserve it in person off this platform). The double room had a great rice paddy view and the bungalow was really nice, spacious with a private patio too. Both had consistent hot water, were super clean (cleaning was done daily) and had comfy beds. The staff were always so nice and willing to help too. It's a 5 minutes walk from a beautiful black sand beach for peaceful walks and more dining spots nearby. I had a truly beautiful stay here. There's an onsite restaurant that would have been nice to have more vegan options on the menu

Friendly, clean, and well organized. No problems at all.

Beautiful location, very friendly staff, clean and comfortable with a traditional Balinese feel. Views out to the rice paddies and ocean. Close to the Keramas surf break.

We loved the guest house. The place is very beautiful, calm and rich in biodiversity. The staff was very nice!

We stayed here for Bali Safari & Marine Park, and we were right. It’s very near to the Safari! Moreover, has more eateries around the area. After checking in, we take a walk to the beach (black sand beach), then had dinner at Komune Hotel, another night dinner at Warong Legong (the best Bali food we had during our entire trip in Bali)!!! And with nice paddy view if you sit upstairs! My kids had fun in the hotel, busy catching baby crabs, fishes, frogs, and bugs. They even saves some crabs and frogs which were trapped in the water pipe, the small creatures can’t jump out! We definitely had memorable time here in Nirmala! Will stay in their bungalow next time, as the one we stayed was just a deluxe room, the towels, mattress, and toilet were not up to the standards. But given the money we paid, we had nothing to complain.

LOVED everything - great food, very close walk to keramas. Awesome staff and really friendly dogs! We stayed in a villa with a mini fridge and it was perfect for our surf trip - nice likeminded surfers around as well. Also has an awesome yoga space, nice outdoor pool and little spa. Such good value and dont have a single negative thing to say.

Truly fantastic! The location—just a 3-minute walk from the beach—the wonderful bungalow, the delicious breakfast, and of course, the staff. The kind and gentle owner, and our host Gio—so welcoming, so sweet, so helpful with everything! I thought our hotel stay in Bali couldn’t get any better, but this exceeded all expectations. You truly can’t find a nicer place in Keramas. The surroundings, right in the middle of the rice fields, are simply stunning… Oh, and the rest of the staff? Just as incredibly kind!!! We didn’t want to leave at all! That we had to leave!

The staff was so friendly, if you want to surf its only 5min walk to the beach;)! The rooms are old but ok if you get dicount price and an upgrade. The Pool was dirty and there was no spa/massage available. Not many places for food. Next to the bypass roaf!

The location to Keramas surf beach was fantastic. The view across the rice fields was lovely. As a family with 3 kids the family villa we were in was perfect, so spacious with 2 double beds and a single over 2 levels. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The puppies at the property were the highlight for my kids, so cute and loved to cuddle and play. No windows in the bathroom made it a little musty, but otherwise the rest of the villa was lovely. It would be great to have flyscreens on the doors to open them up and look at the beautiful view of the rice paddies.

We traveled to visit our son in Bali. He is a surfer. Though the immediate area is not a traditional Bali tourist area, we had an amazing time visiting Nirmala! We stayed in the three-bed guest house which was immaculate, spacious, and had an upstairs view of neighboring rice paddies, the ocean, and Pineida Island. A short walk down a dirt road to a world-renown surf break got us to the black sand beach which was good for walking, seeing sunrise and sunsets, and to access a couple local food spots in Keramas Komune Hotel surf club and (especially) Locas beachfront restaurant. Seeing the local duck farmer walk his flock to and from the river on the beach twice a day is priceless. We also got amazing and cheap massage at Nirmala and the Surf club. We ate frequently at the small open air restaurant at Nirmala. The food (Mei Goereng and Satay especially) were excellent, the Bintang beer was served in ice cold mugs, and the staff was as helpful and attentive as anywhere we’ve been. The two pools on grounds and the several raised fish pond pagodas gave us a zen-like feel and place to play cards and relax in off surf hours. We used the Grab app for rides to a nearby waterfall, a ‘night market’, and a larger indoor and outdoor day market to shop and immerse in the local area which is replete with friendly and honest people and artisanship- wood carving, colorful sarongs were among the things we saw that amazed us. The staff and stay at Nirmala were exceptional and, especially if you’re seeking a surf-based stay in Bali (not far from the Denpasar airport), you should visit this little gem. We would definitely return. Nirmala is off of the busy main road and, while our spot and the grounds were surprisingly quiet, we couldn’t really walk off of the beach side because of the busy road. The beach isn’t easy swimming (because it has good surf).
