Gili Breeze Tropical Bungalows

The guys are super friendly and very attentive to make sure you have everything you need. Very peaceful atmosphere close to all the essentials of the island. Super clean. Everything was perfect

The staff was nice, the shower water was cold when I needed it to be. Ac worked good. Daily room cleaning. Competitive pricing for laundry service. Bugs. Pillows are a bit old and not super comfortable. No hand towels. Wifi was spotty most of the time. No generator.

The bathroom is open so some chance of mosquitos. The rooms do not have a full length mirror. The dustbins are there but do not have any plastic lining.

The staff is super friendly, and it is located near all the restaurants and the harbor. They help with booking a snorkel tour and provide breakfast. The pool is also nice and clean. The first day we arrived there were 4 big cockroaches in the bathroom. The guy that works there came fast to get rid of them, however an hour later there was a small one going inside my backpack, that was inside my room. Moreover, 2 night in a row there were an insect and a lizard in the bed next to my face when I woke up. There was also not hot water in the shower any of the 4 days of our stay. We also rented bicycles from the hotel and the last day the pedal completely broke after riding it for 10 minutes. The bicycles are all rusty and old so it is not a surprise it broke. I had to pay 20,000 rp to get it fixed since I was like 30 min away from the hotel, which is not a lot of money but it shouldn't be our responsibility to pay for fixing them. They should have bicycles that at least do not break while riding them. One last thing that is not their fault is that the mosque is located very close to the hotel and it will wake you up at 4:45 am. It is extremely loud. I asked how long will the morning prayer last (it is 5 times a day minimum) and they mentioned that is 5-10 minutes but it is 30 minutes. They provide earplugs that are helpless. It sounds like someone put a speaker next to the bed 4:45 am and you can feel the vibration from the prayer. They do warn you in a message about this as soon as your booking is confirmed and also when arriving, however if you book it non-refundable it doesn't matter since there is nothing you can do. Stay in the west side of the island! I regret not staying there.

Exceptional

The staff were super friendly and welcoming. They remembered each one of us and would have a chat with us every time they saw us, constantly asking if we needed anything and making us feel like we were at home. The pool was clean, the room was clean. The shower is outdoor and clean as well. They helped us rent bikes which were the same price as other places on the island. Breakfast was good too! Very well maintained property and staff work very hard! You can hear prayers from the mosque near the property but this is out of the staff and hotel s control. They do what they can and provided us with ear plugs. With ear plugs, I couldn’t hear a single thing. The water from the shower and tap wasn’t the best, but again, it is out of the hotel s control. It is common around the whole island to have water issues. Nothing to complain about this property and would definitely stay there again when visiting Gili in the future.

Fabulous property- staff lovely. Decor is lovely and it was clean. Pictures online exactly as in person. Pool area was nice.

Everything!!! So convenient, not in the beach front so it’s nice and peaceful, but there is a shop round the corner if needed. The staff were so lovely, and the cats were so cute and friendly. The rooms were cleaned, and they asked if you needed it cleaned everyday. The pool area was also well kept.

Cute little accommodations with small pool. The staff are so lovely and accommodating with all requests The property is set quite far back from the main drag, the roads are very dilapidated. Another point to note is the property is situated very close to the mosque, prayers are projected through giant speakers outside the mosque, we unfortunately had to leave our stay early due to how distressed one of my disabled children was with the sounds. The property does provide ear plugs for their guests

We had the room upstairs, very spacious with a big bed and bathroom. We had all facilities that we needed. The room was clean and the staff were asking us every day if we need a room clean and any towels changed. The staff is really friendly and great source of information. The breakfast is good and made fresh every day. There aren't too many options to choose from but that's ok. The outdoor area is lovely too. We spent some time at the pool too. My daughter loved the pool. The staff was great. They were very friendly and attentive with us. We booked thru them the snorkeling trip ( just our group ) and was great fun too. The location is very good , just 5 min to the main road / beach area. The island is small so you can walk anywhere. Overall, we had a great stay and we believe the accommodation is good value for money. Nothing I didn't like. Everything was absolutely fine

Staff very kind and friendly, nice breakfast included, hot water. Card payments available. The a/c in the room wasn’t working properly, and the room smelled moldy.
