Great location, just a short walk into the center of Gordes. Beautiful property and pool, which we enjoyed using as July temps were over 40C. The large bed was very comfortable and the room was nicely appointed with air conditioning that worked very well. Breakfast was delicious and could be enjoyed inside or out; continental with fresh bread and croissants, wonderful selection of cheeses, fresh squeezed orange juice, fruit, cereal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs etc.; Nespresso coffee machine with many different choices of coffee. We also enjoyed Ziggy the dog and Leo the cat. Host and staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend! Others have mentioned that the steps are not illuminated at night. It helps to have a small flashlight.

Four friends had two rooms. We loved how quiet and relaxing the property was. We also loved the beautiful views. Breakfast was consistently delicious and offered so much food. Just something to be aware of, not all of the rooms have traditional showers. Some have a bath with a handheld unit.

Beautiful views, great breakfast, walkable into town (not right in town but still possible to walk) No window in our room so we needed to leave the door open for fresh air. For others I want to note steps and uneven surfaces which can be challenging with large luggage.

We had a wonderful stay here. The view is amazing, the breakfast was generous and tasty and our room was clean and spacious. The location is also an easy walk from the downtown area. Thanks for an amazing stay! nothing

Loved the spacious room, comfortable bed, delicious and abundant breakfast, super wifi, and the wonderful views. Would appreciate more lighting at night on the outside stairs.

    The room was spectacular .

The breakfast was lovely and the room was well appointed. The location, pool, and view are incredible. Gordes itself is overrun and a bit overrated. After my stay concluded, the host was not helpful during a stressful moment. My laptop and other valuables were stolen at some point during my day of departure, by whom I don’t know, nor at what point in my day, as it could have been after I left. For this reason I did not jump to conclusions—but in trying to figure out what happened, I of course needed to communicate with the host. Instead of offering consoling words or offers to investigate the situation, she offered multiple reasons (repeatedly) why it could not have possibly been stolen there and must have been stolen somewhere else. Regardless of what happened: this is not the response you hope for from a host. I never once said I knew who stole my things—but I needed to explore every option, as one has to in these situations. You hope for someone to help you, or at least try to help, in what is already a stressful situation, and to respond in good faith, the way that I was trying to communicate.

a fantastic villa in stone, divided in different rooms, in a quiet setting, with a nice and relaxing pool and amazing views on the valley. The owners are extremely kind and helpful. I have been staying in the apartment with kitchen, that was very well equipped with all the necessary tools. The bedding is very comfortable and the area is very quiet, so an ideally place to rest&relax. nothing

While the large room and gracious host were lovely features of our stay, the breakfast was a standout. Fresh fruit, a beautiful cheese spread, cereal, yogurt, an immense number of jams, jellies, and preserves, and a marvelous bakery selection made for a pan absolutely delicious morning meal. The beautiful setting overlooking the valley only enhanced the experience. There were a number of steps that one needed to traverse in order to access our room and the breakfast area. It was no trouble for us, but others may struggle a bit.

The place is conveniently located just a few blocks from the Gordes' Centre Ville, walking distance or with parking nearby. Very beautiful property, kept in great condition so much that it seemed we were the first guests to use the room. Super comfortable bed, brand new linens, well equipped room, great bathroom and shower installation and...the best breakfast ever! Freshly squeezed orange juice, variety of coffee and teas, pastries, cheeses, jams, fruits, etc. etc. The pool looked beautiful even though we were during rainy days in late winter, still too cold to use it. Olivier was an amazing and friendly host, I highly recommend La Borie en Provence!! Nothing in my view, everything was excellent.

Lovely traditional country house with beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and villages, a lovely heated pool and delicious breakfast. Although the village road is dark and empty after dinner, it was only a short walking distance from the village center. A pocket light will be helpful for walking at night, especially when there are a lots of irregular steps at the property.

It was rundown a lot of mildew. The temporary host was a abrupt.

Nice pool, nice breakfast room with view on the pool and the scenary. Potent heater in the room. A little dusty

  • Engine customer Oct 2024

The bed was a bit tough for me (but I am used to very soft beds).

  • Engine customer Oct 2024

I just wish I had an actual shower in the room with conditioner. The bathtubs have a shower head so it was charming but a little difficult to actually shower.

Magnificent spacious room with terrace and sunbed, lounge area and even toaster/microwave. Pool idyllic, luxurious vibe. For the cost, breakfast should be better. You get what you’re given: one choice of juice, small basket with four small items and you struggle with a coffee machine that sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t - and is pretty cold even when it does operate. Not sure about squeezing everyone round one dining table either. This accommodation isn’t cheap so it seems reasonable to expect a breakfast that matches the high standards of the property itself
