I’ve known this property since my childhood and there is something very comforting in its long survival in a location with few hotels. It has seen many upgrades and remains a solid, trustworthy, clean, quiet, traditional, and excellent establishment which I will continue to choose.

I liked only the photos are shown in booking.com. It was a very old furnitured hotel. There was an unpleasant smell in the room and holls.

Location was nice. Free umbrellas to borrow. Beds are thin and hard. Blanket does not cover the bed. Blankets too hot for summer time. Sheets and pillow cases so old they were yellowed. Windows have no screens, so your choice is hot and humid or room full of bugs. Vacuuming of the hallway is done at approx. 7 AM, hope you're not trying to sleep in! On Saturday morning they were using power tools outside my window at 8 AM. Staff is almost non-existent, they were very keen to know exactly when I would arrive (so they could leave) and when I was checking out (again so they could leave the property). Perhaps this place was nice back in the day, but with new competition being built nearby it seems the place is struggling. Felt very overpriced considering other nearby options.

The property doesn't have a microwave on the property at all. It'd be nice to have one to use to reheat a leftover meal for lunch of dinner.
