Good, room was freshly painted and clean

The place is clean and very nice staff

Property and rooms were absolutely amazing! Breakfast was unbelievable and had everything you would want and it is dog friendly with laundry facilities and pool/hot tub. I will stay here again for sure

We booked through Expedia, we booked a king suit. When we got there they put us in a room with two queen beds. We called down to the front desk and they told us they were full and that they would discount us on another La Quinta at another time and that we could take stuff from the snack shop. The next day they told us that they could not give us a discount on another La Quinta, only that one for another stay, we will not be going there again, most likely. They told us since it was booked with a third party they cannot honor it for another La Quinta. I am pretty disappointed because we do stay at another one twice a year in Des Moines IA.

Negatives: We did not receive the room we booked (king suite, instead were given a room with two doubles) and assistance or changes made when we brought it up to the front desk. Breakfast wasn’t great, many items were out (such as coffee creamer) and entire area was dirty. Bedroom was also dirty (hairs in the tub, stuff smeared on the desk, etc.). Worth noting: Entire main floor was under large renovation. This wasn’t something we knew about. Also, we stayed here three years ago and were much happier with our stay then.

Property was being renovated but no notification was given prior to arrival. We had the pleasure of listening to air nailers, hammers, beeping, mailers,,, and so on... all day. It did quiet down at night thank goodness, but it was not possible to spend any time in the room during the day. Painters tape covered all the fire alarms down the hallway, construction items through the hallway. The only positive was that the front desk staff was super helpful and considerate.

I would only suggest lights around the vanity mirror

Our room was great for our family of 5. Provided us with extra pillows and towels. Location is great, close to shopping, restaurants and the water park. Hotel pool was great for our children as well, they loved the kiddie pool area. Would definitely stay again.

We have stayed at this location multiple times. It was nice to see them do some renovations.

Staff was very helpful. Room was not very clean. The cabinet holding the fridge was moldy due to a leak. The air conditioner/heater was dirty and so we're the windows.

It was very humid outside and the hotel kept the main air conditioner on 77. Hallways were horrible and humidity floated into rooms and a/c in rooms could not cool rooms. We found old food on the floor and room was very dusty. I have stayed here years passed and liked it. Too bad. I will never stay here again. Breakfast also appeared to have really gone down hill.

Our tv wasn't working the first night. I called the front desk, phone rang off the hook, so I decided to go downstairs. The attendant came out from behind the counter. I wasn't happy with the lack of service. We stayed four nights. At least two mornings we went down an hour before breakfast was over and there was basically nothing left for food. No kitchen attendant was on duty. It was like they got things ready in the morning and then left and they came back at 9:00 A.M. to clean up, So lots of dirty tables to eat at, too!! Went to the front desk and reported the issues, but nothing was done!! The room was nice, but we did have to go get more towels ourselves. When we needed more washcloths, I was told they didn't have any clean, but they could give me more hand towels...... Have you used hand towels as a washcloth before???? The front desk help were college age individuals, on their cell phones a lot.

Staff was great

The breakfast was good but on our second day, the eggs ran out fast. But overall, we enjoyed our stay. We came in and checked out the room but was surprised that the microwave was not clean. Looks like the previous guests warmed up some food but the housekeeping missed cleaning it.

We had a good stay and the breakfast is pretty decent. The pool is a bit dated but our kids had a blast in the kids pool. The bigger pool wasn't to cold either. Our room had a very weird smell to it and it wasn't the cleanest either. Had some pee left in the toilet even after housekeeping was supposed to have cleaned..... It is though in a very nice quiet area close to shopping and restrooms
