Red Roof Inn Grand Junction

Front desk staff was wonderful! (Thanks Leo :) Rooms were good, though could have been cleaner (dried urine in toilet lid hinges,) but overall stay was good. Bar and restaurant on site was a nice find, No travel required for food or drinks after a long day. I would stay here again if I find myself back in Grand Junction.

Sheets were clean! Horrible smell in the room like something was dead or urine. Would not go away! Mattress sank when you sat and played on them. Tv was in and out.

The rooms looked updated based on the exterior of the building. It was in an industrial section of the city and there were a lot of construction workers staying there. That's fine but I didn't feel comfortable walking around by myself. I think they may have bed bugs. I woke up with bug bites on my face and hands.

The only issue was that we were in a room that had a trash can right outside the room. The trash can was overflowing and in addition there were also 3-4 additional grocery bags and restaurant bags full of trash sitting outside this trash receptacle. This caused an accumulation of flies. Every time we walked outside or inside our room, we were met with swarms of flies - flying into our hotel room. That was pretty gross.

No shampoo in the shower, shower head was not working, only 2 towels provided for 3 occupants, other tenants with dogs that barked all night for both nights, waited 25 minutes to get door key reprogrammed(no one answered the phone number provided)

Yes, when we walked in it had a mildew smell and the air-conditioning did not work. It was so hot.
