Residence Inn by Marriott Greenville

I liked the room layout - I would have like a suitcase rack in the closet, since I didn't stay long enough to unpack my suit case and there was no space near the bed/bath area to put the suitcase on other than the bed - I wound up using the desk in the kitchen living area - which was okay, but I would have rather kept the clothes out of sight

The Residence Inn is met our needs. Had ample space in rooms, helpful staff and great location for move-in day to ECU. We will be booking again next year, and any other time we come to Greenville.

Our four-day stay was unfortunately disappointing, particularly regarding customer service, cleanliness, and housekeeping. Breakfast: Staff serving breakfast from August 17–19 were, in our experience, unfriendly, dismissive, and lacking basic courtesy. When items ran out, we repeatedly had to ask for replenishment instead of staff proactively monitoring and restocking. Cleanliness: The most serious concern was the presence of cockroaches throughout the property, including hallways and inside our room, particularly the kitchen area and bathroom. This was extremely unpleasant and unacceptable for a hotel. Evidence captured. Housekeeping: On our second day, the shower gel ran out. I contacted the front desk and was told it would be replenished without waiting for the next day's scheduled room refresh. However, it was still not replaced after the room was serviced on day three. When I reported this, the response was, “We are sorry, but, you could have come down to the front desk and asked for it.” This was disappointing, particularly since I had already reported the issue and was told it would be handled. I don't suggest every staff member here is the same, but based on our four-day experience, the overall stay was poor. Given the service, housekeeping, and serious pest issues—and considering the price was not particularly competitive—I recommend researching other options before booking this property.

The facilities were clean and quiet and the breakfast was good.

P.S. it was quite obvious. This was not a new problem with this room. The ceiling showed lots of pre-existing water damage

We were only there for an overnight stay. The property was clean, our room was spacious. The location was close to a lot of different fast food places. The staff was friendly. I would stay at this location again.

The front desk staff was very friendly and always saying hello when you walked past. The breakfast staff were very polite and had all the hot food refilled quickly. The rooms were clean.

The room was really nice

Staff were friendly. The breakfast was wonderful both mornings. And the rooms were clean and lots of space. Really enjoyed having the full fridge to put things in.

We have traveled to Greenville many times and there are many options. We have chosen this hotel multiple times because it is comfortable. Some areas have become a little dated, but still nice.

Building is clean. We checked in at 6:44pm and our room was not ready. We were told to go have dinner or wait in the lobby until the room was ready. We waited until 7:38 pm and our room was finally ready.

My family was in Greenville for ECU Spring Commencement. Their stay here was perfect. From check-in to check-out the staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. We will definitely stay here for the next graduation.

The staff treated my family and I well during our stay. The bar should be open everyday.
