This place is wonderful off the beaten path in a tourist town you can’t tell it’s geared for tourists. She had a wonderful experience many thanks for the form desk clerk he was very helpful to us

The room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. Perfectly located in the heart of Grignan, it’s an ideal place to stay when visiting the town.

Stunning and historic property with attention to detail and attentive staff. We enjoyed dinner at their bistro which was lovely and a nice walk just outside of town. Breakfast was the highlight of the stay with an incredible spread, even champagne, to be enjoyed in the garden. We booked last minute as we were driving through Provence and the stay was the highlight of our trip. Wish we had stayed longer!

One of the best rooms we have had in France. The bathroom was also the best. Nothing.

Amazing place, like something out of a fairytale! Stunning property, well-equipped, very comfortable, and truly unique. We had a room in a different building, which was also beautiful. However, we had to walk a bit in the rain with all our luggage. The receptionist on the first evening was not very friendly, but I understand she might have had a difficult day. The receptionist on the second day, however, was one of the best I have ever met!

Beautiful location set in a very quaint 'magical' village. Friendly staff. Beautiful building and court yard. Dog-friendly, including provisions - bowls, treats, beds etc. Treats for us too - cookies and nougat! Bathroom with a bath, slippers, robe, toiletries etc. Parking available very close to the hotel. Lovely bistro within a short walking distance. Lovely restaurant on site that we took breakfast in - which has to be the best breakfast ever. I would return just for the breakfast. Warm, cosy and smelled nice everywhere! :) Having to leave. Next time I would stay here a couple of nights at least.

Breakfast was excellent. Location in the town of Grignan was superb!. Gastronomic restaurant was very good but overpriced for what we got. They have one Michelin star in their dining room but thought the food didn't match the price.

The architecture and interior design of this series of buildings comprised by Le Clair de la Plume was exemplary: I had already visited it in Grignan as a tourist (they have a gift shop with their own products) and knew how stunning it is. Service was impeccable, the breakfast was sumptuous including some lovely champagne. There were wonderful touches such as locally produced bespoke foods & toiletries. The south facing views over the village and chatea were equally stunning both during the night & day. Centrally located, unfortunately it wasn't warm enough to try the outdoor pools. One call to reception for a local affiliated restaurant booking. The room was very small. Patchy wifi. The strong winds created a bit of a howling sound through the glass of the roof at the top of the staircase where my room was on the top floor. Minor issues!

Charming with character, but also very clean, spacious and comfortable

The hotel and assortment of associated rooms are in the bottom of a charming village which was obviously a 'destination' as it was pretty crowded on 15 August. The welcome was warm and helpful, our beautiful room with excellent facilities was in a separate house just down the street. We were able to park our car close to the hotel and walked to La Ferme, their bistro restaurant for an excellent open air dinner. The service and menu obviously had an eye to Michelin ambitions so it was not cheap but very pleasant. The location was beautiful particularly on a fine summer evening.

Wonderful historic buildings, perfect quiet setting, fabulous breakfast in pretty garden. Brilliant supper in the “bistro”.

Lovely hotel in a lovely place The hotel failed to properly advise us that the festival in the village would mean loud beat music playing constantly until 2 in the morning which made sleep impossible. They had just told us three days before our arrival that there was a festival that went on until 1 am and this might make parking difficult. There was nothing in this pre arrival email to warn us to the extent and length of the noise - they should have given us an accurate warning and given us the opportunity to consider whether we wanted to go ahead with our booking. When we complained to this effect in the morning, they said there was nothing they could do. This is why we have given our stay a poor review. Otherwise it’s a lovely hotel and our room was amazing.
