Authentic Japanese Ryokan where the staff were incredibly helpful and kind and the food was wonderful. A great experience!!

Location is Very convenient. Good facility and food service. Light in the bathroom should be brighter.

The staff were phenomenal. They helped us navigate to all the various local sights. Our first night we were put in room 218. It reeked of smoke. It was directly above the smoking lounge. Ew. I felt sick all night. When I told the front desk about it th me next morning they changed our room immediately and were very kind about it.

Excellent location near bus stop Private onsen was nice Small shop for conveniences, snacks, and drinks but no formal restaurant (if you are not ordering breakfast or dinner). Not a big deal. Found a great hidden ramen place a few blocks away that was amazing.

The included dinner and breakfast are awesome, bring us a classic Japanese style experience. The onsen is also a great experience.

Loved the onsen, the staff were great for the most part. Located right next to the bus stop. Very nice location for peace and quiet. Breakfast wasn't really worth the price, the bed was okay.

Beautiful location and breakfast was amazing experience Most of the nearby restaurants were closed on Tuesdays and we did not want the hotel meal..

The only thing a didn’t like was the bed was kind of hard, but that’s pretty typical in Japan…

I stayed in a traditional tatami room and it was so nice. Peaceful beautiful views to the mountains. Complementary high end green tea and chocolate amazing! The space was so clean and easy to navigate. I felt very relaxed. Every detail was beautifully done

Located right in front of the 仙石原文化センター前 bus stop, this accommodation is easily accessible and the area is great for an evening stroll after eating the hearty seasonal cuisine they offer. The area is quieter than other parts of Hakone, which makes this inn the perfect place to spend a relaxing weekend. I can't think of anything. We had a great time!

Wonderful ryokan experience and very kind and helpful staff! I was very satisfied with my vegan meals and even when I arrived with my stomach growling, I left every meal unable to finish everything! The onsens were hot and relaxing too! We tried the public one and two of the private ones. Can highly recommend!

This place had a great natural onsen. The waters of that onsen and the sense of tranquility that having a bath there was a highlight of our trip to Japan. They are well suited for foreigners. It is not a ryokan. It is a hotel with a great onsen and a very decent although bit contrived kaiseki dinner. As long as your expectations are in line then it will be a good stay. We used it as a hub to do the Hakone loop which we would recommend. It is right in front of the bus stop. The employees were very helpful to us.

Love the vibe , bed is comfortable the place quite clean and not crowded / onsen is very good Kaiseiki dinner not so delicious / you must noted that room comes without shower only toilet. We have toddler and turns out cannot stay in room with shower We don't have problem cause we have other people in our family stay in room with shower so we shower our kids there. The room a bit noisy cause that day it was a storm outside and the hotel located near the road.

Public onsen was nice Futons were not as comfortable as others i’ve slept on

Beds are comfy, rooms are spacey and come with a small desk, tea and a sweet treat. The in-house onsen is wonderful, and the option for a private onsen is great too. They do accommodate food preferences (for example, vegetarian or no seafood), which is a huge plus. They were so kind to provide me with a "no seafood" dinner, however, that was unfortunately quite disappointing (in taste and content). It was not the "same dinner" with dishes switched out, but something completely different. For example, the other people in the group got the "normal" dinner, and got a course over multiple servings. Mine was just all there in the beginning (except dessert). Another example would be dessert: The "normal" dinner was a almond tofu with kiwi and strawberry, mine was a piece melon. Similar for breakfast were it seemed that a Crab-Miso soup was swapped for an apple juice. Overall the food was fine, but if you have been to an actual Japanese restaurant you probably won't be impressed.

The Japanese style room is located by the river in the back and can be heard if you open the window. The staff all spoke very good English and were very helpful. A little balcony exists but is inaccessible. It is not listed as an anemity, but it would be nice if it was available.

The private onsens were lovely...though wish I had booked in advance to secure a more convenient time.

Well maintained, clean, and filled with amenities. A great Ryokan experience for anyone! Paying decent amount extra for 45mins private onsen session. Be warned those over 6 feet tall be prepared to duck, I hit my head so many times.

Location is central to local museums like Glass Venetian, Lalique, and Pola Museum. Onsen felt great after a long day in the rain. Room is spacious and restful. The kaiseki meals were an excellent experience and great value for the stay. Did not enjoy some of the seafood options but might chalk it to personal preference. Meals were fully prepared some 30 minutes before the scheduled time so could have been sitting out for a while.
