Mill Rose Inn

Beautiful room and wonderful location. Staff was all wonderful. Rooms were very well appointed. We only had an issue with the television.

We loved our stay and would definitely stay again if we are ever in Half Moon Bay. It’s walking distance to the charming downtown area too.

Breakfast was included, but provided at cafe on Main Street. Nice walk, good breakfast. Unusual arrangement but quite enjoyable; good to walk a bit! Inn could use a bit of TLC--fresh paint, for example.

We have stayed here before and the Mill Rose Inn never disappoints! The beds and comfortable and the towels so fuffy! This time we were treated to breakfast on property and it was terrific. The grounds are beautiful and you can tell a lot of attention has been given to make the Inn welcoming.

Breakfast was great and cooked fresh as soon as we came downstairs. Cook was very nice. The smell of fresh baked cookies really set the homey feel. We loved visiting with other guests in the parlor with the cookies, coffee, tea, and wine. The only thing that could have better was the carpet in our room needs to be shampooed. Next time I will book sooner to hopefully get a downstairs room. This was a last minute trip and I booked the only room available.

Breakfast was dried scrambled eggs, toasted english muffins and generic sausage patties and fruit. It was ok but not at all what one expects at a nice B&B. Combine that with little to no welcome or instructions. They give you an envelope when you arrive (if you arrive when they are there) and it only contains a card with your door and the inn door codes. Nothing else. No instructions for TV remote, how to use the fireplace, heater, nothing. No house rules or local attractions. Nothing on amenities. Really, just a card with numbers. Then they leave an envelope in your room for housekeeping which is normal and I always leave a tip. But no one ever showed up at our room or the room of our friends. We never saw anyone except the breakfast staff. I highly recommend you look for an alternative place or be prepared.

Very unique boutique little hotel/inn/bnb. All the rooms unique and the layout perfect. The room all had custom furniture, old-school bathroom fixtures and everything just had a nice small touch. Multiple courtyards and shared spaces throughout the property to hang out. One night we just came back and hung out by their interesting little library and flipped through some books. Super easy access and check-in, and very walkable from downtown HMB main-drag. Free wine in the parlor was appreciated. Gas logs in the room 10/10. Window seat 10/10. Very very quiet and very romantic. Perfect for our last night in California after getting engaged. Absolutely nothing comes to mind.

Property location was excellent. Staff was very helpful and breakfast was good.

The breakfast was good but options were limited for GF; but my husband raved about his. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. There was wine provided and it was good the tea selection was broad and STASH brand. Loved sitting with my tea enjoying the fine wallpapering inside and the gorgeous garden thru the glass. The sitting rooms were delightful in every way. The book selection was beautiful and interesting. I slept well and the bed was very comfy and I am especially in need of a firm but cushioned bed and it was perfection. The raw silk bed linen was such an elegant touch. The gardens and patio with water feature so pretty and relaxing.
