Adonis Hotel

Good location, comfortable room, good breakfast.

Staff were wonderful. Usually someone English speaking at the 24 hour front desk. Very kind and knowledgeable, eager to make my stay wonderful. I stayed 10 days and had a couple minor issues with something mechanical. This was addressed and fixed immediately. The bed was medium firm with medium firm pillows. Housekeeping came every day and kept the room spotless. There were welcome water bottles. There were also snacks and cold drinks available for a small fee. Elevator to my room in the 8th floor. Nearby park with lots of people using it and market stalls. One weekend there was a manga contest. There is a fairly large Fuji Market nearby. The old quarter is about 25 minute easy walk and the lake was about 15. Nearby stores and restaurants. There was some street construction, but I didn't hear it on the 8th floor. Shower was hot, the wifi was decent, robe and slippers, and the a/c was cold. Definitely would stay again. It was all pretty great. I didn't give it the 10 because there were some minor mechanical issues, but I was impressed with how quickly they fixed them.

The location of the hotel with the lake at the front door (almost) and the large park only a few hundred metres away.A few short walks will take you to the 'tourist' Old Quarter, Train Street, Opera House etc. etc. Walking is probably faster than a Grab. Every member of staff I met was welcoming and helpful and I felt that nothing was too much trouble. One must never forget the cleaning staff because they can make or break a hotel and the Adonis ladies were the best! I had a couple of issues getting the TV/Streaming box to work but within minutes the reception staff were on hand.....new batteries in the remote seemed to fix it! I was impressed with the provision of smoke hoods as part of the fire precautions :) and the WiFi passwords seem to be room defined and not hotel wide which is probably good at reducing the risk of hacking. WiFi was generally fast and did not buffer at all but it seemed to slow down during the early morning when, I suspect, there were a great many users on the system. Although it would be nice to have some breakfast cereals on the menu to satisfy a Western taste, the variety of food on offer including freshly prepared eggs, toast and fresh yoghurt (made overnight by the chef) were great, so absolutely no complaints about my breakfasts.

Stayed in the hotel several times during travelling. Pretty big and clean rooms, nice breakfast for all of my family members, not far from French and Old quarter, just in 3 blocks nice buffet. The most I like is friendly and helpful staff, many thanks to the girls on the reception for their attitude.

Maintenance

Great staffs , Sparkling clean, got everything needed for stay comfortable through our my last few days of my trip , I wish I know this hotel sooner , I stayed at a few other places but this one was the best , good location , a short walking around in the front of the lake , I would come back again if I have a chance .

Breakfast

I recomand this hotel. Very clean and cosy. We enjoyed to stay here.

There's no first aid kit for the entire hotel; all they could offer me were bandages. There are no disinfectants, antiseptics, or basic medications; this is an omission and a complete disregard

The hotel is out dated and had a musty smell but you could open the window which was a huge plus. Unfortunately there was a roster living next door so bring earplugs.

Lovely hotel in central Hanoi. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Highly recommend the lakeside rooms with beautiful views of Thien Quang Lake. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Location was so convenient to get to usual spots. The lake in front made the place very relaxing for a nice jog. The room looked old but it’s what I loved because it gave off a colonial charm. I was there for training and their conference room was perfect for it. The food for breakfast and lunch was also SO good and healthy! Only one elevator was working so it took a very long time for guests and staff to get to the floors.

What make the place is the staff, friendly even those that don’t speak the same language they all make an effort. So thank you so much

Very good

We stayed for 9 nights with a short break to have a short boat cruise. We had a very nice time in the hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff! The room was comfortable, clean and large!! The bed is like most beds in South East Asia, a little hard for some people. We did not book breakfasts, so I can’t say anything about it. The location is good because you are not far from any of the attractions if you use taxis or Grab. The parks are nice to visit in the evenings. We enjoyed our stay , really appreciated that we could leave our suitcases at the hotel during our boat trip for 3 days. Thanks again for that. We would stay again. All good thanks
