The restaurant focused on traditional meals and ignore that some foreigners can't afford.Propose many internationally common meals and allow them the foregners to have many choices I recommend whoever who plan to visit Hanoi to stay at Bao son International Hostel .The has a good care for customers .

The people were the best. If I were rating nothing but their service I would give them 100/10. They were absolutely amazing! They were kind and efficient and always happy to see us. We really loved the service we received. 1st and most important: They charge for water!!! Don't do this! In a country where the tap water isn't safe to drink, it effectively becomes an extra charge on the room that you haven't told me about upfront. Unfortunately, this isn't the only problem. The hotel is aged and needs some maintenance. There was a hole in the tile in our bathroom, scuffs all over the walls, and a damp smell in the room. Also, the location is really bad. It's not very convenient to anything and if you turn left out of the hotel the city is completely unwalkable. Also, the internet could be faster.

The room are big, price very reasonable and the breakfast is truly good with plenty of choices. For tourist this hotel is not in the most glamorous area of Hanoi, but if you need to move in/ out of Hanoi for your job is a good location

Although smoking is prohibited, I still smelled the smoking smell. The cooking smell also existed in the hotel.

I really enjoyed the neighborhood, combining the new and the old Hanoi (and avoiding the tourist traps of the more central locations). Great street food in Chua Lang street nearby. The hotel itself was quiet and comfortable.

Location, staff and comfort. They speak English, very polite staff and accommodating. They allow late check out and have our luggage store while we waited for our transportation pick up to the hotel. Good breakfast. There was a construction and drilling when we arrive but it was okay since it’s only after 5pm they’re off. The bath tub at first didn’t have rubber anti slip mat. But they place right away when we requested.

We love the deluxe twin room. It has 2 big beds that fit our family of 4. It is hard to book somewhere has beds for us and the children and sufficient space in room. It has heated pool. Good customer service from all team members and good food. Just one Chinese customer knocked our door at 5a.m which woke all of us up in the early morning.

The room has been spacious and clean! Bathroom was very nice and clean too! Bathtub with shower was quite relaxing. Water temperature was easy to adjust and hot water was available instantly. The breakfast buffet had a good range of foods, but was not as tasty as I hoped for. (Eg: No fresh juices) Cleaning staff and Lobby staff have been very friendly! You can rent the breakfast room for events, which is a really nice treat, if you look for such a thing. Overall I got the feeling that the hotel has aged and did not yet manage to keep up with everything. It's nothing too bad, but things add up to that feeling. A little water stain on the ceiling in the breakfast room. Not completely closing window in the room facing towards the street lets in quite some noise, etc.

I booked a room for 12 days and it is surely a great experience. Good breakfast, western buffet style breakfast and one can also order Vietnamese traditional pho. Staff at the reception desk are friendly and are always willing to help and they can speak English well (though not quite perfect). There is a swimming pool. It is a bit small but can surely meet the daily need. The television in the room has worldwide channels. There is a large shopping mall within two minute's walk, with many restaurants (Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean and Western foods are all available) and two supermarkets on the B1 floor. Nothing in particular. A short story is that when I was about to finish my breakfast, I wanted an extra fork to try yogurt. The staff misunderstood my demand and provided me with a full bowl of "pho" instead of "fork". The pho was delicious anyway. This is hardly an unsatisfactory experience but quite interesting.

Staff is polite and friendly always ready to help. Poor soundproofing. People talking loudly in corridors can be heard in the room. Even toilet doors opening and closing from the next room can be heard. Poor layout of the room & furniture. Quality of the furniture is outdated, old and worn out.
